    I purchased this and installed it. It works just as planned. From the inside of my shed, I no longer have light coming in from the sides and top. I recommend buying other screws vs. using what is supplied. I used #10 Bonded Sealing Drill Screws - 1 3/4". I just used the same screws that the contractor used to put together my steel shed. Very happy with the final product.

    Maybe you should cycle the doors so we can see where the brushes look like and lay 🤷. I know that would interest me.

    Are the brush strips intended to keep rodents out? Any tips on a reverse curtain installation? [roll on the outside]. Mine came with what looks like a 6” seal strip for the header. No instructions from manufacturer for a reverse curtain installation. A video on that would be good. Thanks

    Hi, Thanks for the video. Is that the Medium Duty brush or the Heavy Duty you installed? Thanks!

    I live in an extreme climate with hot, humid summers and bitterly cold snowy winters. How well does this product stand up to these conditions and what life expectancy can I get out of a set.

      The brush seals will make a significant difference with air infiltration reducing the cost of heating and cooling along with keeping bugs, pests, debris out. The high quality nylon brush has very good bend recovery. Life expectancy depends on daily use.

    I have an odd question. I have frequent gusts of wind in my area, and my roll-up doors sometimes bang around almost constantly for hours on end. Would these quiet my doors down at all?

    • @jasonhoffe5124
      @jasonhoffe5124  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the brush seals will put some pressure on the door and reduce the vibration and rattling sound.

    What kind of wear do these brushes make on the doors down the road? Do they wear the finish off?

    • @jasonhoffe5124
      @jasonhoffe5124  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The nylon brush will not affect the finish of the door.

    I see Jacor isn't responding to any questions, but I will try any way.
    I upgraded my 12x12 and 8x8 rollup doors to have the "Dutch Corners" or 45° corners. Would I use the side pieces or the top pieces?
    Also in the video he didn't show how best to do the corners where the pieces come together, which gets a little more challenging with my 45°. I assume some type of 22.5° bevel, but not clear on how they come together even for a regular 90° corner.
    I assume since he does the top first, that the side brushes metal portion stops at the brush, but it could also be best to remove the brush strands where the side meets up so the metal frames can touch each other??

      I took a screen shot at this point and zoomed in to his corner. I can see why it wasn't mentioned in the video, the corner is sloppy AND he changes the last 2 feet of the side to come out to the top piece which creates a huge gap on the upper ribs.
      I really think you should take the time to shop how the corners are done (with a proper install though).
      I already bought 2" kits for my 12x12 and 8x8, so I'm installing them either way, but I will look elsewhere for proper installation of the corners. The whole point of investing money on these is to keep out dust, insects, and help with heating and cooling. For me, especially keeping hot air out (sun hit the door, hot air rises, and gets channeled in through the huge gaps at the tops of the rollup doors. So I'm not going install it this way and still end with huge gaps at the side top corners.

      For Dutch Corners using the 45deg brush works best. Just make sure you order the correct brush seal kit size for the vertical side + dutch corner. Our website (jacorinc.com) has pics showing dutch corners. Look for the scrolling pics at the bottom of the brush seal kits product page or in Brush Seals -> Applications -> Roll-up Doors.
      The top straight brush gets installed first and the 45deg side brush butts against the top brush closing off the corner. The straight top brush will be just behind the 45deg side brush sealing off the corner for both dutch and 90deg corners.

      @@jasonhoffe5124 thank you, I already have the kits. I guess I need to order some extra 45 pieces.
      I will check out the site and see what I need to do to make up the diff. I will have some left over straight pieces I guess too

    Do the brushes have a memory? As in stuck in a high or low position in this application?

    • @jasonhoffe5124
      @jasonhoffe5124  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The nylon brush has low memory compared to other bristle types, but will take form over time. Even if the brush forms to high/low ribs it will keep a consistant pressure on the door creating a great seal. If needed the nylon brush can be brought back to it's original form with low heat or warm water.

    What about water/rain? Does it prevent it?

    • @jasonhoffe5124
      @jasonhoffe5124  ปีที่แล้ว

      The brush seals aren't water-proof, but will definitely help keep a majority of the water/rain out. Make sure the exterior ground slopes away from the sliding barn door too.

    Do you have instructions for installment on a one panel door not a roll-up door

      We're trying to install this on a single panel garage door and having issues with the top brush preventing the garage door from opening. We trim down the bristles thinking that that would work but it's not helping it's preventing the door from opening do you have any ideas?
