People are arguing whether hydroxychloroquine is effective or not in treating COVID19. I think is it pretty easy to prove or disprove it. Just calculate the infection rate, disease severity, and death rate of patients who already regularly taken this drug, due to other immune disorders, (such as rheumatoid arthritis ), then compare these data to those who never took this drug. We will have a sure answer in several days using this method.

  • @ShinobiTekken
    @ShinobiTekken 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

The Remdesivir study size is tiny only 58 patients and no placebo to compare it too. I would say good but we need more data, Hyrdoxychloroquine looks to be better by blocking both ACE2 receptors and CD147 which the Coronavirus uses.

    • @biomed3d503

it is true that the sample size is small for Redmsivir. We expect other clinical trials to bring more convincing results.

For those who believe in God, it is possible to think that God made organisms in such a way that we could understand it through science. Some things in science (like the big bang) are much different from believing in God and some are identical, such as reproducing to continue life. This person is most likely thanking God for our ability to understand His creations through the study science.

BioMed 3D great animation and explanation, but I have two serious concerns: How do you know Remdesivir will not prevent human RNA/ DNA replication within cells? How do you know Remdesivir will not permanently alter human RNA/ DNA and be inherited in human offspring for many generations to come, with possible unforeseen negative consequences?

    • @biomed3d503

Very nice question! I tried to collect information regarding the long term effect of this drug. I saw some web pages saying this drug does NOT incorporate into the host cell genome, in another word, is safe to the host. Given the very limited information regarding this concern, I plan to reach the company for more details and will post here and keep you informed.

      I was wondering the same

      That If it causes damages
To our RNA is only temporary
As long as the DNA is ok I think
      That we be ok
Because my best guess is that
Our DNA is our hard copy and the
Our RNA a is just a replica
Of what's to the cells to
Be process But is just my best guess I'm not a pro yet
So don't take my word as
Any base have a wonderful day

The viral rna polymerase that produces the viral proteins is not similar to human rna polymerase. Human (mammal) rna polymerase will not accept this drug as a rna base.

It does not make sense that the Child viral RNA folds up with other viral proteins to replicate Covid -19. By viral replication, the exact Mother viral RNA is needed to be synthesized by additional enzymatic process. The Child strand is only a temporary complementary strand.
