I literally just got back into the long dark and remembered watching your old guides a 2-3 years ago. You have no idea how happy I was after watching a few older videos to find you are starting a brand new guide series! Cheers! 🥂
I was struggling HARD until I started watching your videos! My first run was 11 days, then I watched your content. Second run was 27; my new one I know I can beat my record. Thanks man!
hate to see good youtube channels gone dead, your guides are helpful and I'm sure if you came back you could continue to help more people, don't give up man!!
Glad to see the new guides are rolling out! Can't wait to see more! :) The one thing I'll say about wolves is of course avoid them at all costs.. however, I have died so many times in interloper that oddly enough I've gotten very good at pegging them in the face with rocks. Much like the bow, it just takes lots of practice and patience. Not a bad skill to have in your back pocket when the time comes. This in turn makes early game much easier for you. I always carry 3 rocks. For decoy purposes and in case of emergency before I get tools made. Saved my skin more times than I can count!
@@activekiwi1221 100% facts and also the story line when you think about it but it could do so much for the game tho and if they really don’t want to add multiplayer split screen won’t hurt

No one's Long Dark videos have helped me, a new player, more than yours. Thank you for that, and thank you for doing a reboot with more current info (although your old videos are still EXTREMELY informative and life saving)! Edited because my typos cause me stress! 🤣
Welcome back to you too! Glad to see you making more TLD content. Although the verbal information was very helpful, I found the video distracting. More visual cues would have been very beneficial to viewers, especially as it is a 'Beginner's Guide'. I am more than happy to explain further, should you wish for more input.
Welcome back too! :) Thanks for the tips. I have maybe an idea for another guide video. How about the topic of "decay". Like where should you store items or not. I always do not really know if like clothing decays faster in a room or is it better to store it in a container? Will pelts and hides decay too after they dried? Will your weapon decay over time if not used. I dunno I think that is something Iam struggle currently the most in the late game. 400day +
welcome back lonely! we missed you. just want to say compliments on the new logo/animation, looks really elegant👌🏻can't wait to see what other vids you'll be publishing soon!
I just watched a video of yours from 3 years ago, the fishing guide video. I’m not sure if you’re a young adult but your voice sounds WAYYYY deeper in this video than that fishing guide video. Otherwise, SOLID content as usual! Very insightful!
Happy to see the new guide! Thank you ❣️ I've been playing for about 3 weeks now and the wolves... my downfall every time :( Ive been trying to find a balance between eating, drinking as to not run out and general progression tasks. I couldn't find that balance yet, so ty for the tips about using health as a resource. Been binge watching your videos and it's a great help, ty.
Just finished watching this video from 2 years ago. Looks like you are returning with a few more vids from 2 months ago. I hope to stalk more if you're putting out content. I just need the basics but looking forward to what you produce.
Let's goooooooooooooo Edit: Im on day 137 on my stalker playthrough, almost died in the broken railroad but I made it home in pleasant valley with only frostbite haha. Gonna give reloading a try soon. Can we get a tutorial?
I know this is 6 months late but : Loot doesn't respawn but there are renewable ressources that can replace some of the high quality loot as it wears out. Typically the man made ressources are higher quality but non renewable (for exemple man made food has a much higher calorie density per weight and spoils slower than meat, but it is limited). There is a source of renewable loot though, there are places near the coast where items regularly wash up on the shore, often leaving low quality but otherwise non renewable items (like cloth, prybar or scrap metal, which let you maintain some higher quality item forever, but those item themselves cannot be renewed if you mess up and break or lose them).
Finally got an actual good graphics card and this was the first game I got. Just started the video but I’ve been watching by your series for a while now 👍🏻
Quick question here, I'm just starting out, and I'm doing a custom game with no predators, and medium cold danger. I'm doing this cause I'm the kind of player that doesn't like not knowing where I'm going. (Also, I tend to be pretty jumpy, and stress out over stuff like the wolves) So, i have this custom game so i can basically freely explore and get to know the world, with the only real stress being the cold and resources. I basically set the difficulty to stalker without predators. Is this gonna work, or am I getting myself too used to paths that may be not as viable when I start a game with wolves? [Love the guides, man! Keep it up!]
A good idea would be to set passive Wildlife 2 yes and have very high wolf spawn rates so that way you can observe their patrols and Pathways they go, or at least that's what I did anyway
@@localh-bardealer2288 I agree, so you can learn predator spawns and their hunting routes too. My favorite fishing huts are sometimes not viable if I can't avoid or kill the predators.
I just started story mode for the first time. I made it till you see the wolf eating. I scared him away with a rock then cooked and ate the meat. Then I died of being to cold.
When I first started I never established a base, or got the lay of the land, so I was constantly wandering around 10lbs over my carrying capacity, and wondering how I was going to survive. Ended up lasting 28 days through sheer "will power" (finding a hunting rifle early + 24 cartridges) and finally dying at Paradise Meadows Farm after being attacked by a wolf during an Aurora and my Mackinaw jacket being torn to shreds, leaving me freezing to death trying to find the Farmhouse key, and then dying on the doorstep of the house upon finding it in the tractor that I was freezing inside of for a whole hour. I would be lying if I didn't say that almost made me uninstall.
Maybe this feedback will help you, but the video says 1080p60fps, though it feels blurry somehow. I once saw a comment on another channel that you disable something in NVIDIA settings. Hope this helps :)
