This game for me marked a sort of Mario Renaissance. It finally gave many characters consistent designs, it saw the return of the Koopalings (who have become series mainstays since), it set the tone and basis of the Mushroom Kingdom in further games, and most important of all, it was simply a really fun game, whether you play alone, or with your family and friends.

Haven't played the game in years because my disc got scratched to the point of being unreadable...
