Thank you, very nice video. As I`m originally from Nuneaton it`s nice to see the places I walked along as a kid. ... and you probably make a good decision not stopping over night there. Thanks, I`ll be watching more of your videos

Seeing all the rubbish makes me so cross. What’s so hard about taking your rubbish home with you? People are horrible sometimes. Thank you for another wonderful video

Watched this again because I'm heading for Nuneaton, and it shows where there is piling to tie up to. On my way through previously I stopped at Boot Wharf for services and they allowed me to fill the water tank. Nb Whiskey Mac.

I got rid of the ending sequence as people were clicking away as soon as the music started.

Good morning Phil. We've exchanged mutual opinions on the blight of the urban Cut before now so no need for me to comment on the detritus et al. On the subject of submerged obstacles and the need to immediately select neutral when encountering such, what's the 'run down' time of the prop ? I'm guessing that the prop is only running at a few hundred rpm and with the boat travelling at three mph or thereabouts and maybe sixty feet in length, there is, in most cases, enough time for the prop to come to a complete stop before any serious chance of damage. I've seen videos of people 'magnet fishing' in canals and dragging out all manner of things that could seriously damage a prop, or even the hull in the case of a GRP boat, various safes and even in one case motorcycles. All of it, as you say, near or immediately under bridges. Heartily concur with your decision to moor away from the urban sprawl. Regards.

Every boat is different but the prop should stop turning within about a couple of seconds I would say.

Good Morning Phil, About how deep are the camels in feet? And how deep below the waterline is your Narrowboat? Your TH-cam friend, Ray Spring Hill, Florida
I also have 2 indoor cats myself.

rayjaypaulsen Most camels I know have four feet and one or two humps.

Canals are usually only about 5-6 feet deep in the centre, less at the edges. Boats vary in draught 2 feet to maybe 4 feet or more ? (for a laden coal boat) below the water.

@@NarrowboatJourneys Thank-you Phil, I'm glad you knew what I meant canals and not camels, I typed too fast. Ray

I, like many others, cannot stand graffiti and it is made worse when it is put upon the older structures that were built by hand with pride by men who intended their work should stand the test of time. It might be a good idea to bring back national service and teach the younger generation to have pride in themselves and their nation.
