I am still facing the issue. I've read on other posts that is related to how Windows 11 24H2 handles virtualization...so if you have solved this problem with win11 24H2 please share your experience to help the community. Thanks!!
@MoeQNK On windows 11 24H2 Version. VIrtualization based Security which keeps running all the times in background is main cause of this problem. So you need to download DG_Rediness tool "dgreadiness_v3.6.zip" from easy available if you google it. download & extract it into a folder. Now open Powershell as administrator and run this tool via Powershell (as admin) with -Disable switch and whole command should be like this "DG_Readiness_Tool_v3.6.ps1 -Disable" if successful system will restart and will prompt you to disable credential guard opt-out [F3] and then Virtualization Based Security Opt-Out [F3] during reboot... on logon you are good to go.. Error will be fixed.
Same here Windows 11 24H2 You may have already checked this out, but did updating to 24H2 enable Hyper-V on the host by any chance (through any of it's many 'security features' getting enabled)? That could possibly change you from from running Workstation in vmx Monitor Mode: CPL0 to vmx Monitor Mode: ULM which would not support "Virtualized Intel VT-x/EPT" if I understand correctly. Your vmware.log for the guest would tell you which mode you are running in I would think.
@@qureshimoin1999 I already got that OS installed by default in my workstation so I cannot tell if an upgrade will enable it or not. In my case it was enabled. No luck for anyone I know using 24H2 on getting this fixed...a real pity.
