I used to play this as a communion hymn in the Mormon church. It had only two verses and was to be played quietly and slowly. They called it, "In Humility, Our Savior." This is the first time I've heard it being played with anything louder than 8' and 4' stops. Sounds excellent.
Again, thank you for sharing. It’s great to hear hymns well played. Until I was doing some research for a “Songs of Praise” I organised I didn’t realise that this hymn was originally written for Ascension. Reading the words, it’s actually quite obvious!
HYFRYDOL is a tune used by many sets of lyrics over here ( USA ) . I never get tired of hearing it, it is a beautiful tune. Thanks for posting Your version. God Bless and have a great week. Kevin
@silverstartrucker Hello Arthur, do you mean Morte Christe, the second tune I uploaded on my channel? I have only got the music to the straight forward hymn and not the various different arrangements for each verse. I have played that though. I will work on it.....
Thank you for posting. This was played at my ordination. The Holy Spirit is present through you.
May God bless everyone involved in making this beautiful hymn available to us.
