I'm surprised how few commented about the ones that were clearly not going to survive. Those should've been thrown on the ice for dinner rather than released only to die shortly after. I love your videos and mindfulness for the most part, but I have seen people doing shows that mention when the fish won't survive and state that they are being kept as table fare.
awesome crappie. I would love to see another Fort Peck episode someday. maybe go after some big walleye this time. Crooked creek has been producing some big eyes and pike. Also some perch, crappie and the occasional catfish mixed in. The ice fishing in Montana can be difficult, but I like the challenge.
We've been talking with our contact out there on fort Peck just last week and he said the main lake near the dam finally iced over last week. We've realize, of course, that's some of the arms have had ice for quite a while. If things work out we will definitely be back for another show this winter.
What? James wasn't there. Taking nothing away from Pat as an angler all credit for those big pies goes to Ty! He has been an incredible crappie bite lately!
Yeah just poking a little fun at James as a premier angler that Pat and all of the IDO Prostaff can step right in and show us all how it’s done. I’d love to book Ty for a day of chasing slabs - I’m sure his phone is ringing off the hook now! Another resource for the Hayward area, one I wasn’t aware of. Thanks IDO!
Pat is a fantastic host. We'll be seeing more of him in the top spot in the coming weeks. I would imagine Ty is really busy right about now taking calls. 15+ inch crappie are rare. A bite where you get numbers of them over 15" is almost unheard-of!
Do you guys think you could say the date you are fishing because I know you guys have to edit and stuff, it would just be really helpful if I knew when you were fishing
Sure. All the time. There's no way to eat even a small percentage of the fish we catch when we're on the water every week. So we end up releasing most.
It's a good thing your doing shows like this for the days I can't get on the ice!
Thanks for the ice adventure!
Wow! Very impressive Ty, clearly your years of knowledge up there show some great results!
The perfect way to start off every Sunday morning. I was waiting for this 😁
I just love Pat's "on my gawd" giggle every time he pulls in a toad!

Absolutely love it delicious crappie😉🤘🎣🎣🎣
I know ty sennet I have musky fished with him he’s really nice and know that lake very well
Looks like some of the eyes were bulging out of the fish's head
Definitely disappointing to see. Those are totally toast. Edit: And that's probably why they didn't show the flasher. lol
Racing to get in front of the next big fish what was the mortality rate
I noticed that too.
I noticed none of the fish flopped either usualy a fish will kick off when you put it in a hole
Jealous? They know what they're doing.
Nice slabs!
This is about 30 miles from my house! Great video
What lake bro??

Do you guys think you could say the date you are fishing because I know you guys have to edit and stuff, it would just be really helpful if I knew when you were fishing
We fish the Monday and Tuesday prior to the show being released every Sunday.
@@InDepthOutdoorsTV Okay thanks! That helps a lot.
Is this still a good lake? Is this connors lake? Please share lake if not.
😆
Are you guys going to get some new ads any time soon?
Only thing my channel is missing is a bad ass narrator like this one. I'm jealous and i don't even need canada. :)
"Great time of year" did you ever say when exactly that was? Was it even this year?
6 days ago. Jan 14, 2019.
It's the current season of the show. Always filmed earlier in the week when its uploaded.
Wohoo!
Is this Smith lake
You catch an6 good crappie on Smith?
No other ice fisherman around? Must be a private lake. Slabs!
Definitely NOT a private lake.
Northern Wisconsin during the weekdays are pretty low key
What lake is this..im from wi
@@Skank_Hunt42 no such lake exist in wi..
Lol buddy doesn’t even let him hold the fish 4:42
Ik haha dude even said it was his biggest of the season.
Just a reason to catch another ... even bigger!

What lake I live in Wisconsin
Yeah nearly all of these fish died.
What lake?
Connors lake
Do more pike episodes
Pike episodes are done late ice.
Don't you eat any
Sure. All the time. There's no way to eat even a small percentage of the fish we catch when we're on the water every week. So we end up releasing most.
Well done boys!!!..love the Wisconsin vids!!
