    I like the idea of a multi function test bench.... It will be interesting to see where the noise comes from in these gearboxs.... Looking at the design they should be near silent 🎧

    hello Mike, greetings from england.thats great idea. i wish i had a g/box tester back in the 70s for the series 3 g/boxes. rear main bearing and housing used to drive me to drink back then, what a bad design,

    If a guy had a generator attached to to output, he could put a variable load on the thing ... just in case the "noise" was dependent on that load 😉

    I might be seeing things, but has your new adaptor got a little wobble in it ? possibly heat distortion from welding it up ? I hope it's straight as a die.

      It's because O only have one self aligning bearing in at the moment the other comes tomorrow
