To be her age and beautifully communicate nuances and irony - well, there are plenty of adult singers who can’t do that! 11 yrs old and she’s already being compared to Ella? Very impressive. And I agree the trombone solo was epic!
I think I told you before that this whole concert was amazing! She’s eleven years old here and sings like a seasoned adult whose performed all her life. For the first song, she is standing in the wings waiting to come on, and the band plays for quite a while, jazz of course. I’m sure you would enjoy that as well.

I had always considered the Julie London rendition of this song in 1955 to be 'The Gold Standard' for this song. Angelina stays pretty much 'spot on' with her presentation but her tweaking of Julie's rendition just reaches me with more emotion laden penetration than Julie's fabulous presentation of the song. There's just something about Angelina's voice that is wired directly into the depths of my soul more than any other singer of heartfelt ballads I have ever experienced.
Hands down my favorite performance from her. The combination of the stellar band performance and her silky smooth delivery of the vocals is just a masterpiece. I would put this song up against any other artist performing today. Great reaction.
