There is actually a revival mod in the works being made by the same people who worked on Wednesday's Infidelity, Pibby Corrupted, and some other mods. It's called FNF: Weird Encounter. They got permission from banbuds to continue the project.

I’d like to be a counter-voice to all who say this is way better than the non-scrapped version. While it is definitely a banger, the second half definitely sounds like it’s unfinished. Additionally, having a second song be an “angry song” with Bill just doesn’t work, considering how short a fuse he has, meaning he’ll put his absolute everything into a fight if provoked the second it starts, so the difficulty scaling doesn’t make sense. Also, he starts singing vowels when he’s mad? Doesn’t make sense, whereas the new version explains this. Also, it doesn’t sound quite like Bill. It definitely has Bill-like elements, but it just doesn’t feel quite right to me. Anyway, that’s my opinion. I think yall did a great job and made the right decision.

But not too long ago, I heard that apparently the team is going back to it and Banbuds gave them permission to? It's a weird situation but I just hope the mod gets finished.
