After a long wait, it's finally here. I know people have been wanting this for awhile, but it took really really long to get all the stuff set up for the release, but after all that, here it is. There were talks about this being made playable alongside the original Prey in Vs. Sonic.exe, but obviously, the project is cancelled, so that will no longer be happening. I give permission to anyone to make a mod out of this given they 1) Make their own assets to match and 2) credit me for this version of the song and Armydillo for the original composition. Lastly, a huge thank you to all the voice actors I worked with on this, namely Madzilla, Illuztriouz, and Jack Gore for Furnace, Sonic and Starved respectively.

If theirs one thing Eggman can’t predict it’s sonic. I always have liked to think that prey is kinda a paradox situation with future starved assuring his pasts success in this moment by choking time. However the minute that grip relaxes. Sonic the hedgehog tears that future apart.
@@Doghero780 Agreed, it's so back n forth it can go either way, but Eggman will eventually meet his end, either finally giving into age or runnning into a timeline where Sonic doesn't hold back. Or he just dies of food poisoning 😆

Honestly this is how a story with eggman killing sonic over and over would end in an actual Sega story or even just the regular starved universe story tbh, with eggman never considering anything would change by turning time back to the fight over and over. After all, all it takes is just a split second for sonic to notice furnace in the distance.
I mean, I feel like silver would have done something by now since he is immune to the time traveling thing and would have obliterated furnace and launch him into starved

@@kirbo4252 silver isn't really a character at this point in the timeline, as this takes place where sonic cd would be, so silver is sorta out of the question.

Time has been bent and shattered. Red hands choke it setting one path forward. 7 gems scream in pain as their world is used as a slaughter house. Their is nothing to be done. No gems, foxes, or echidnas can truly change this future.

Stardust was given a Good Future, and in time, maybe the story will have a Good Ending
even if sonic survived, amy, mighty, and ray are dead. so it was a good future but not a good past

I like to imagine that this is the classic Sonic after Sonic Generations so he knows how to boost and that’s how he’s able to out speed Furnace and lived from Starved’s plan.
I kinda wish they ret-conned that a bit more on the series

I know the main focus of this story is Starved Eggman, but I gotta say, I fucking LOVE the design for Furnace. Something about it, probably the fact it’s a sentient oven with the sole purpose of shoving living creatures into itself to cook them, and just it’s general unique design, make it feel really special to me
I love the new voice lines, especially sonic going “let’s kick it up to super sonic speed!” It felt really 90s era sonic talk, like the 90s cartoons
I like this outcome more than the original mainly cause it kinda makes sense. I mean, robotnik ate a few flickies, that doesn't mean he automatically has the ability to kill sonic. Also I just like that sonic is simply trolling in this one

Holy shit, I cannot tell you how amazing this is. I am so happy you decided to finish this, because this is a masterpiece.
what's always confused me is the fact that furnace relied on catching him off-guard despite the fact that it very clearly CAN fly faster than sonic can run since it literally just straight-up does it during the song to get ahead of him for the plan to work.
I think it was implied that Sonic slowed down to taunt Starved, because He thought furnace broke down from overheating.

@@Scottyno101 And furnace still somehow manages to get ahead of him, n' you can tell it's not just that there's just more than one or some kinda teleportation since you can see furnace go past him below the path. This means that even furnace could absolutely catch him just by flying.

@@lillyofthegalley I was just sort of guessing why furnace got ahead of Sonic. It has also been awhile since I saw gameplay of the song so I kind have forgot that Sonic speeds up in the second half.
With how arrogant Eggman is, and the fact that he's human, means he does it differently each reset; that variance gives Sonic a chance to react differently, even if just a second of recognition.
It would be nice if in the original mod if you did a FC and got a pretty high score both in Prey and Fight or Flight you would've got the good future for both songs

I think if you had less than x week misses and x week accuracy you could get the last chaos emerald ( assuming sonic had the other 6 from sonic one) on the good future Amy would survive if you did well in the song, and in prey he would dodge furnace and activate the super form for the first time, just like in this video

He simply jumped over Furnace after noticing him, but that wouldn't explain how he acted surprised as Furnace flew towards him
He switched lanes at the last second, meaning Furnace had barely missed him

This comment is sorta a "What If Sega had adapted into a darker series with Sonic CD?" Turning Starved Eggman cannon, and how the series would progress forwards from this.
In this new Sonic CD, every Level has a different "Good Future Objective" that must be completed to get the True Ending. Every Objective is needed to stop the creation of Furnace 2.0
Palmtree Panic requires you to go back in time and destroy the robot generators. This allows you to save Amy in Collision Chaos.
Collision Chaos requires you to save Amy, this is done through attacking furnace before he gets to Amy, causing him to fly away. Amy hugs sonic for a second, and runs away. This allows Amy to help Sabotage the production of Furnace 2.0
Tidal Tempest. The Doctor has created robots for fishing to take all the robots out of the water for his meals. You must travel to the past and save the fish by destroying the Fisher-bot generators. This prevents The Doctor from building furnace due to his hunger, allowing Amy to sabotage Furnace 2.0
Quartz Quadrent, Smash those Miner-Bots! They'll provide resources for The Doctor if you don't!
Wacky Workbench is filled to the brim with horrible layers and contraptions, go to the past and annihilate all of The Doctors Robot Generators, there are three in total, you'll be notified if they're all destroyed. The robots would go on to protect the doctor, stopping him from burning his hand while he's working.
Stardust Speedway. If you've been doing everything correctly up to this point, then this is where you'll deviate from the original Prey story. Going into the past and destroying the Furnace 2.0 blueprints will guarantee your safe trip to the good future. All that's left is to collect the remaining time stones.
If you completed every Good Future task, you'll be rewarded with a race to the death against Furnace. Failing to complete every good future task will result in Furnace 2.0 being created, causing Sonic's death. If you Saved Amy, you'll get to play as her in stopping The Doctor, who is now being referred to as Starved. If you didn't save Amy, Tails will carry on the mission, missing a tail.
After beating Metalic Madness, one of four endings will appear.
Beating it with Sonic and the time stones will result in Sonic defeating Starved, but Starved escapes, and goes on to make more meals, This is The True ending.
Beating it without the time stones as Sonic will have Starved rewind time to the beginning of the game, this is the Good ending.
Beating it as Amy will have Amy ultimately Kill Starved, this is the neutral ending.
Beating it as Tails will have tails attempt to kill Starved, but Furnace kills Tails first. This is the Bad Ending.

Headcanon time:
The Sonic in this timeline isn’t the normal Sonic. But instead it’s the Sonic from Sonic Generations. The one that fought Metal Sonic early, the one that became Super Sonic a few games early, (and if it’s the 3DS version, the one that learned Boost early.)
Because of that this Sonic can survive this encounter unlike any other.

So happy to see a good ending version that doesn’t end with Sonic being eaten anyway.

Honestly this just gets me curious: How WOULD things go if Sonic survived the events of Prey? Would it go on to have events similar to Sonic 2 and Sonic 3&K? If so, how would THOSE change with Starved compared to Robotnik/Eggman?
If sonic's main goal was to get the time stones per usual like in CD, then he could possibly use the time stones to avert some things, like eggman from becoming mobian-hungry (or just downright turning him back into a fetus)
assuming Sonic got the time stones and didn't just go to the past to destroy some machines to get the good future like it usually is like in Sonic CD when getting the time stones is a no-no, i think he can revert things back to normal, or rather, Sonic and amy meet Tails, and eventually, Knuckles. together they all would beat Starved Eggman and prob kill him, then they can move on to things like Silver (assuming he's still born), Shadow and etc. theorically leading to a good future (heh) that's considerably better than the og timeline (spend time fighting Eggman when something better can be done instead), Perhaps Sonic and Amy are closer. And without any threats, perhaps Shadow the Hedgehog could get some help and possibly become a better person? After all, Sonic and Shadow have all the time in the world to settle things out.
@@dylanzlol7293 A tad problem with this, it is Canonically said that at this point, Amy has already been killed and partially eaten by Starved, meaning Sonic could only meet up with Tails and eventually Knuckles without the Time Stones. But the Shadow and Silver thing is still possible

Alright, so this is my headcanon storyline on Prey (Good Future).
The story begins in the original Prey timeline during the race with Furnace. The rest of the events play out normally up until Starved's part. Sonic saw a Time Stone in Starved's pocket which, unbeknownst to Starved himself, fell out. Sonic is able to catch the Time Stone, and events play out normally with Sonic getting killed by Furnace. However, the Time Stone takes Sonic back to before Eggman became the monster known as Starved. Sonic has been revived and remembers the events of the OG timeline. Knowing that Eggman would eventually turn crazy, he seizes the opportunity to warn the animals and grab the Chaos Emeralds. He then decides to get back to his current timeline, and sees that Stardust Speedway looks different. The race with Furnace still plays out normally until the end where, due to Sonic remembering that he would literally run into Furnace, he is able to react quicker to the robot and jumps over him. Sonic then takes the opportunity to win the race, saving the future.
Truly, nothing can survive the will to stay alive. If you try, you can do anything.

The blue blur speeds away, leaving the moving furnace and the doctor in the dust. With the glinting gem in his hand, he hopes to make a good future as he speeds off to the metallic madness...
this is very cool, i bet during the song you can see the good future background of the level showing neon lights and stuff on beat with the song, Then at the end of the song, once Sonic leaves, he rescues Amy (who hasnt been eaten in this good future.), and she tells him about what Starved Eggman's actually doing (or perhaps during the song, he picked up on the fact that eggman wasnt being himself anymore. and thus, kinda figured out what happened), then, together, will fulfill their original fate, and eventually meet Tails.
The sad thing is that Amy is killed before this happened
Everyone is talking about how sonic adapting to time travel or smth, but my headcanon is that one time eggman gets to impatient and accidentally looks at the furnace ahead, and sonic actually notices that and looks too, hence saving himself and defeating eggman, reclaiming the time stone(s)

This is more of a Erect Remix than a good future, i would say the only thing that differs more is the final section, should been more of original kinda like d-sides and using good future instruments through the whole song.
I think they should have put some references to modern themes here and there, showing that Sonic is breaking out of the cycle Starved put him in.
