Was very cool to see 20 width infantry with almost ten armor so they couldn’t be pierced by basic infantry.

You can reach 200%. Benelux has a focus that gives +10 entrenchment (lead minor democracy), Soviets have a focus that gives +5 & +5% overall bonus (masters of defense). Grand battle plan gives +10. Find field marshal that's not an advisor and give him entrenchment for +30% and also once they're a level 4 you can pick entrenchment specialist advisor. +3 on lv4 +5 on lv6 and +7 on lv8. Infantry expert, ambusher +5 from field marshal and another +5 from general. Recon and flame tanks with dozer. +2 was +4 before dozer nerf. Add tank or tank destroyers with dozers, each battalion gives +1 entrenchment. Engineers base +5 and +2 from every research level. I like researching 1942 engineers ahead of time. There is also base +5 and another 10% from defense spirit. Added to your generals defense stats and advisor stats for some bonkers numbers. Be warned that you'll get banned from MP games as it's considered unfair when divisions have 7k defense.
There is another Supply "Mechanic" i didnt see him talk about. It only applies to countries with their captiol citys on sea tiles, USA, Italy Japan . If you build a level 10 naval port on the capitol city you can supply upto 65 supply to a level 10 naval base oversea.

@@DSiren I'd say he fought pretty hard. MacArthur wanted to make a Philippine army and begged for more planes and supplies before the war. He was also responsible for the liberation campaign, as many generals wanted to ignore the Philippines. It was his home, he just got screwed by the administration.

There was about 12.2 million people in all branches of the armed service. About 8.3 million of which were in the Army. The Soviets by contrast had about 11.3 and 9.8 respectively. And you can look up production numbers, it's absolutely insane. 297,000 aircraft were produced by the U.S. throughout the war for example. I don't think that's even possible in Hoi unless you were only building aircraft and nothing else. Which is a good thing, because yeah, it would incredibly unbalanced 😂 not to mention the lag, lol.
the only thing I would do differently is to add some aviation 200-300 fighter planes protecting transport planes 200 transport planes (for supplying the army)

It's been a while since MtG, so I'm not sure if this was discussed back then. I was able to get rid of the Great Depression 1 year early as the US because I dabbled in Communism. The GD focuses in the communist path are not limited by silly things like "Working together to draft new legislation" and as long as you rush down the focuses, you should be fine to get them done without having enough communism to flip communist. Just replace the communist guy with a democratic reformer, and raid the communists, when you've started the last focus and you can later take Neutrality act and do Arsenal of Democracy focuses once communism dies back down.
You can go get rid of great depression and get war economy early 1937 by doing new deal, abandon the naval treatie - Agree to disarm but actually not and coring Attu Island. Japan will declare mid 36 and a invade attu island. Once they do and you core it you'll have a decision to get War economy and move on from Great Depression

imo building supply depos rn is jut not worth it, the huge cost in addition to the rail connection cost, you're just better either making docks or if you have some spare mil slots, just build lots of supply airplanes and do air supply only, it got nerfed but it's still much better than depos, was able to conquer most of north africa, ethiopia and the congo relying on air supply
Just as a headsup, once you get into the high numbers with the engine upgrades, it actually becomes more efficient in terms of reliability and production cost to go for a gasoline engine and less points into engine to reach the same speed. Diesels are at their best for slow-ish tank designs that don't put a lot of points into engine anyway.

Same. But I went mechanized divisions. Also republican Spain won so had to have a front in Spain since my naval invasions weren't working. Edit: also worth noting I was using 20 widths which I've just found out was an oof.

You should do mechanized Lithuania, Ford design company makes mechanized 15% cheaper and gives a 2 years ahead of time boost. Lithuania also gets another 100% boost to mechanized research. If you upgrade mechanized to have lower production it can be almost as cheap as motorized
paradox gimping russia yet again with a russia-centric dlc. it's been years since the release of Third Rome for eu4 and the russia ai still can't handle itself.
Setting your armies to motorized supply priority makes all supply hubs they are using to use motorized to supply the armies set to motorized, so there is no reason to set supply hubs to motorized.
Costs less equipment but gives you less xp. Since guns are cheap and valuable equipment like tank3 or plane2 doesn't become available until 1938-1940, you might as well take the equipment loss as the US. Whether 1 division training is worth it depends entirely on your build.
You'll lose out on about 6 army experience for the cost of 1000s of equipment. Feedback was generating the same amount of army experience per day from training his entire army as you would training 1 division from September 1936 onwards. He was also not getting much army experience before that date because his divisions were under equipped.
Hello Dave here is one useful tips or remind if your war support is below 10%, "Selective Training Act" will add you 10% base war support, which can let you faster to unlock "the giant wake" in 1938
just sayin but 36 piercing is REALLY bad, i got in an MP as soviets 160 piercing by 41 (tbf i don't thats possible for USA due to a USSR specific research buff) but I get an equaly good Tank division for ~60% of the production cost. and double the speed
i tried it just now i alr had done it as the soviets but that bisdes the point when it was 1939 i hadn't even seen the pacific only and preapring for europe well i ended up doing asia with tanks only eventualy landing in japan and ending the war. i had to take wake 3 times because of the lack of micro and the lack of tropps in the end like any america game it ended in satisfaction threw winning ww2

Let's make it more terrifying ; medium tank destroyers with medium cannon and as many secondary MGs (or even small gun turrets) as possible. With Superior Firepower R&L. With Chrysler as the tank designer. You can make armored divisions with 2-3 medium tank battalions and 7-9 medium TD battalions in a division to get enough breakthrough to work with, but with overwhelming soft attack, like 700-ish, and still something like 300 hard attack to deal with any enemy armor. And those divisions come cheap since a medium TD battalion only requires 24 vehicles, which BTW can be made even cheaper with riveted armor since most of the division's armor comes from the regular tank battalions anyway. If you need some piercing, add a towed AT gun battalion. The medium TD battalions will provide tons of soft attack as well as tons of hard attack because of the AT gun techs. The medium tanks are built with everything providing breakthrough, like Advanced radio and *THREE* stabilizers, as well as the medium cannon. The medium cannons are a very good compromise between soft and hard attack, but they also provide a bit of breakthrough. With such cheap divisions, you can have dozens and dozens of those divisions overwhelming the AI for a truly large American Blitzkrieg.
Forgot to say ; don't put anything that gives breakthrough on the medium TDs. It's just not worth it with the modifiers ; instead, go for the cheap fixed superstructure that also boosts reliability for extra small gun turrets. Those turrets are overpriced, but it's the only way to max out soft and hard attack values in the secondary modules. Heavy guns instead of medium cannons are an option, but you lose some soft attack for hard attack and piercing, and the production cost and ressources needed are higher.

Try GBP Soviets. I can't remember if I had a mod on or not, but I am pretty sure you can reach 120% entrenchment currently.

imo building supply depos rn is jut not worth it, the huge cost in addition to the rail connection cost, you're just better either making docks
or if you have some spare mil slots, just build lots of supply airplanes and do air supply only, it got nerfed but it's still much better than depos, was able to conquer most of north africa, ethiopia and the congo relying on air supply

Just as a headsup, once you get into the high numbers with the engine upgrades, it actually becomes more efficient in terms of reliability and production cost to go for a gasoline engine and less points into engine to reach the same speed. Diesels are at their best for slow-ish tank designs that don't put a lot of points into engine anyway.

You should do mechanized Lithuania, Ford design company makes mechanized 15% cheaper and gives a 2 years ahead of time boost. Lithuania also gets another 100% boost to mechanized research. If you upgrade mechanized to have lower production it can be almost as cheap as motorized

Is there a reason you aren't motorizing your supply hubs? That also increases supply drastically but it does chew through some trucks.
Setting your armies to motorized supply priority makes all supply hubs they are using to use motorized to supply the armies set to motorized, so there is no reason to set supply hubs to motorized.

Costs less equipment but gives you less xp. Since guns are cheap and valuable equipment like tank3 or plane2 doesn't become available until 1938-1940, you might as well take the equipment loss as the US. Whether 1 division training is worth it depends entirely on your build.
You'll lose out on about 6 army experience for the cost of 1000s of equipment. Feedback was generating the same amount of army experience per day from training his entire army as you would training 1 division from September 1936 onwards. He was also not getting much army experience before that date because his divisions were under equipped.

just sayin but 36 piercing is REALLY bad, i got in an MP as soviets 160 piercing by 41 (tbf i don't thats possible for USA due to a USSR specific research buff) but I get an equaly good Tank division for ~60% of the production cost. and double the speed

i tried it just now i alr had done it as the soviets but that bisdes the point when it was 1939 i hadn't even seen the pacific only and preapring for europe well i ended up doing asia with tanks only eventualy landing in japan and ending the war. i had to take wake 3 times because of the lack of micro and the lack of tropps in the end like any america game it ended in satisfaction threw winning ww2

Let's make it more terrifying ; medium tank destroyers with medium cannon and as many secondary MGs (or even small gun turrets) as possible. With Superior Firepower R&L. With Chrysler as the tank designer.
You can make armored divisions with 2-3 medium tank battalions and 7-9 medium TD battalions in a division to get enough breakthrough to work with, but with overwhelming soft attack, like 700-ish, and still something like 300 hard attack to deal with any enemy armor. And those divisions come cheap since a medium TD battalion only requires 24 vehicles, which BTW can be made even cheaper with riveted armor since most of the division's armor comes from the regular tank battalions anyway. If you need some piercing, add a towed AT gun battalion. The medium TD battalions will provide tons of soft attack as well as tons of hard attack because of the AT gun techs. The medium tanks are built with everything providing breakthrough, like Advanced radio and *THREE* stabilizers, as well as the medium cannon. The medium cannons are a very good compromise between soft and hard attack, but they also provide a bit of breakthrough.
With such cheap divisions, you can have dozens and dozens of those divisions overwhelming the AI for a truly large American Blitzkrieg.
Forgot to say ; don't put anything that gives breakthrough on the medium TDs. It's just not worth it with the modifiers ; instead, go for the cheap fixed superstructure that also boosts reliability for extra small gun turrets. Those turrets are overpriced, but it's the only way to max out soft and hard attack values in the secondary modules. Heavy guns instead of medium cannons are an option, but you lose some soft attack for hard attack and piercing, and the production cost and ressources needed are higher.
Dave you gotta try out the beta patch, it completely revamps tanks and makes them a lot better. I wanna hear what you have to say about it
