To be honest they should've continued hero factory a bit longer so they could conclude every plot point and think about what they were going to do with bionicle g2, since you know *it was donkey ass*
A bit late (by 2 years) but I have a story. So in Walmart my little child eyes saw some hero factory complex figure and I really wanted it. My dad said I couldn’t build it. So a couple days later my mom buys it and after finishing it I have my mom call my dad. I was so proud.
You know, looking back at hero factory, the simplicity of it all reminds me of the good ol days of superheroes, the days when superheroes fought alongside each other and worked together to defeat a common foe instead of fighting each other,

I miss Hero factory, I had the whole Savage Planet, Breakout, and Brain Attack line. :(
I was unable to get any of the 2nd Wave Brain Attack sets, outside of Dragon Bolt, or Invasion From Below. :(
I had/have all sets prior except for that 2-pack at 1:02.
I've been unable to get any of the five Bionicle G2 Year 2 Wave 2 sets either. (Ekimu XL, Umarak The Destroyer and the three Beasts.)

I was never a hug fan of Hero Factory. I got a lot of sets, and liked certain aspects, but always saw it as inferior to Bionicle. That being said, I'm really glad you and so many others seemed to have gotten so much enjoyment out of it. I'm also happy that you came out and make a video expressing your adoration for the theme, especially one as controversial and divisive as Hero Factory. Keep up the enjoyment and support for the things you love regardless of what others have so say!

Thank you! Hero Factory was my childhood because it's just what I grew up with at that age! I loved the games, comics, sets, and movies! Until IFB, that is. But the nostalgia kills me inside sometimes.
I was in kindergarten at the time (2010), but I LOVED hero factory. I like Bionicle but Hero factory was simple and that was up my 6 year-old alley. Although in 2014 the show ended and bionicle rose back up but was then crushed again.

Thank you, finally! someone else who enjoyed hero factory! they were amazing, the pieces were new, interesting, and hard to break. A kid could take apart his heros and make his own, as well as making his own new villains. I also agree that breakout was the best. i have fond memories of being ECSTATIC at getting new heroes and villains and making them battle. And those movies were great, and the books were THE BEST EVER, they went in depth, helped develop characters, and had new interesting stories. by the way, i actually really like bionicle. i just wanted to say how much i love hero factory

I loved hero factory too, though Bionicle in my own opinion was still better. But Hero Factory introduced such an AMAZING building system, and didn’t break as much as the Bionicle ones. Wow....I should save this for a review channel shouldn’t I

I was originally going to make this a Ruined FOREVER episode, but I loved Hero Factory too much to do that, and thought most of the hate for the series came from it "not being Bionicle." Hopefully there are some out there who agree with me. I am perfectly fine for people to disagree as I know there will be those that do, but all I ask is that you be polite about it. Thank you :)

don't get me wrong I love both series as well but if bionicle never happened, hero factory would've had better love I think.
Diamond Bolt I have fond memories of this series but I pretty much lost interest after breakout. As it is I didn't have many of the sets either besides the original Furno Surge Evo and Nex figures. I had the Savage planet Furno as well but after that I never get any other ones. But even so I loved the animated series at the time and that was probably my favorite part since I never read the books and the comics were just really bad adaptations of the animated series as I recall. Either that or the animated series made the comics better but I don't know. Now though I don't really care to much for the series and I don't think the animated series is as good as I remember it. But I still hold the original four episodes in higher regard than the later ones.
I also love Hero Factory and have great memories of it from my childhood as well. My favorite character is Stringer. Probably because he reminds me so much of Ironhide (my favorite transformer). Anyways, great video!

Y'know, I myself have almost all the sets, apart from the Frost Beast, Queen Beast, and a couple of polybag sets. Apart from that, I'm pretty good (yes, I even have that Bulk vs Vapour set, which is fairly decent a set). ^.^

hero factory's first wave definetly had the most diverse sets that were rarer than others. also, i think diamondbolt forgot how furno had the worst set as furno 2.0. seriously, THOSE BINOCULARS LOOKS SILLY AS FU**! also, brain attack was sh** as they made furno the leader instead of stormer

Basically the theory goes that Bulk and Stringer weren't in Ordeal of Fire because Bulk actually died and Stringer went off on his own for a bit out of grief. Obviously completely debunked by their appearances in Savage Planet.

I LOVED Hero Factory growing up, despite it's downfalls.It was easily one of the most influential forces in my life and is a big reason I am who I am today, I still make MOC's and write stories for my own HF-based characters to inhabit. It really warms my heart to see someone who has that level of respect and fond memories with the line that I share.

I was a massive Bionicle fan, getting into it around the Metru days. I remember the first time I saw the Hero Factory pictures after Bionicle's 2010 cancellation, and I was actually pretty impressed. I liked the more technological/futuristic setting as a nice contrast to Bionicle's more mystical themes. I got all of the heroes and all but two of the villains from the first wave, and later almost all of Breakout, plus numerous from the other waves. I was so disappointed in the lack of focus on the setting and characters, however. I had gotten so invested in Bionicle's world, as well as all of the characters, so going from that to Hero Factory made me feel that Lego really dropped the ball with Bionicle's replacement, and the line just didn't hold my interest as long. Nevertheless, I still have very fond memories of a lot of these sets. Thanks for the video!

Hero factory is important to me because I was introduced to it early in my childhood and I am 19 now and I still buy these amazing sets!

I'm simultaneously honoured and confused that someone linked one of my videos for a discussion. Either way I appreciate it very much and hope a lot of people get a laugh out of it.
Anyhow I must agree, it holds a place in my heart for trying something different, even if it never reached the heights of Bionicle G1.
It wasn't bad,but it made huge mistakes from the beginning. They associated themselves with Bionicle in it's first year, and couldn't live up to it
I completely agree with this video. I too have great memories of me and my friend playing with our Hero Factory sets outside all summer. This and early Ninjago (But after the reboot I lost interest in Ninjago). Also, funny you should mention Surge 2.0... I have him, but when I was coming back from a trip from my cousin's house I was building and rebuilding him (because why not) and I had to open the door next to me and his head went flying down the mountain side... RIP Surge 2.0 head 2011-2011. I got replacement parts later on though.

Omg i thought i was the only one to even love hero factory, its good to see a fanbase and also diamond bolt, do you have the evil witch doctor set if you dont i highly recommend getting it, it is more complex than other figures and it looks awesome

I loved hero factory but the movies really declined. I hate the animation for the final theme and the changing of the voice actors. But not gonna lie, the world of hero factory will never be as fascinating as bionicle.
I also hated the change of actors, when I was listening to that short my first reaction was, WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BEAUTIFUL CHARACTERS!!!
Many people (myself included) prefer to forget that final episode existed....... I'm just sticking with the series ending at 'Brain Attack'..........

For me as a kid I didn't get into Hero Factory that much, some of the villains looked cool to me but the whole large buildable figure type sets never clicked with me as much. I find it funny that the one wave of the Hero Factory sets that I actually like was the Invasion from Below line. For me as a kid, and even now as an adult, I was always a fan of the idea of big mechs fighting big monsters so seeing these sets in a Lego catalog we had got my attention. I didn't know any lore or characters, so I went into the sets with a blind eye and enjoyed them a bunch. 14-year-old me collected as many as I could before they were pulled from shelves. I still have the sets to this day, still sitting on a shelf in my room. I understand why you and other fans of Hero Factory don't like this wave as much but for me who only cared about seeing big mechs fight big monsters it was all I could ask for.

YES! Ive loved hero factory since I was really young, and I’ve been building MOCs for as long as i can remember! I loved the sets, i loved the characters, and it is an amazing creative outlet for me to do character design. I’m so glad other people like it too!

I loved Hero Factory as well! I got into it much later then you cause I'm probably 5 years younger then you. I got into it around the end of 3.0 and stuck with it till the end. I collected a lot of the older sets from hero factory and most of the newest ones. I later got some gen two bionicle sets and started going back to collect many G1 bionicle pieces and sets. Thank you for making these videos that support both bionicle and hero Factory!

I used to own the Witch Doctor figure, and it was so cool at the time since it was the biggest character (like a foot and a half if I remember right). I have so many memories with that thing.
I have been writing my own Hero Factory storyline called Villain Factory. It is set after Breakout when the plans for Hero Factory were stolen, and a villain uses the plans to make a Villain Factory, which builds villains with anti-quaza powered villain cores.

my first two hero factory sets were a Breeze 2.0 and a Stormer 1.0 when I was 6. they also were my first buildable figure set type period, so I have always had a sentimental attachment to the series
My first set was the stromer XL from break out and currently i have 3 xls ( rocka, stormer, furno) 3 basic sets and 1 minifig i really love hero factory as it was very fun building and mixing their sets

Bro, I couldnt agree more with you. I remember how it was when for the first time ever, my friend had showed me the original series films. And my god I fell in it deep. Sadly, I didnt manage to catch neither 3 of the first series, which I am really sad today, only luckily owning Nitroblast. I have managed to collect almost all breakout, but then my younger brother came and eventually lost or destroyed some pieces, rendering most of the character un-buildable again. So overall, I love it, yet I have painful memories to it because of the mistakes that happened :/ . At least got downloaded some of the absolutely gorgeous films ( missing the first part of savage planet though :/ ) Great video btw.... ;)
Ah those memories, when I went to clean the ground recently, I noticed a strange box, I never felt so much nostalgia when I opened it, there were hero factories, and I remembered how I played like a kid, today's kids just sit behind computer and they will never understand us ... I think at least half of us will remember the hero factory because the hero factory was part of our childhood, and we will never forget it.
I was a wee lad when I saw a small canister with a red and yellow robot painted on the front. My mother bought me the box and oh my god my little self loved it. From that point on I started collecting as many hero factory figures that I could, and I still have a pretty good collection today. It was easily my favorite toy line of all time and I wished lego hadn't cancelled it.
And yes I did collect all the Furnos, and I have a surge 2.0
This is a great video that touches on both the positives and negatives of the Hero Factory line. Personally, I really liked Hero Factory and similarly to you, it was a big part of my late childhood. I also joined in the Bionicle line around December 2008 when the Glatorian started appearing on shelves.
One of my favorite parts about the first ten episodes was, as you mentioned, the continuity. Seeing all the villains escaping from their cells in Breakout just shows that each and every one of these characters, even if underdeveloped, were relevant and involved in the story, although seeing the Savage Planet beasts escaping confused me. I personally felt they could have released more sets or strengthened the ones that were released. For example, I felt they could have given Stormer XL a bike (shown in the animations as a blue/white version of the Furno Bike) and differentiated it from the Furno Bike. It would have made the set seem a lot cooler, being a titan (despite his small piece count) and a vehicle.
The episodes did get worse over time, especially with the choice to end them with cliffhangers from Breakout onwards that left a lot of unanswered questions (although Breakout was answered directly with Brain Attack). The discontinuity of 2014 was a big hit, and even though the animation and plot on its own are admittedly good, it made it feel as if Lego did not care about the theme that many kids at the time had grown up with. I also did not like the decreasing quantity of animations and I would prefer judging it by year instead of series (2010 had four, 2011 had three, 2012 had two, and 2013/2014 had one).

I remember having a couple of the Hero Factory sets that i own back then but the one that i like was the Furno motorcycle set which was really cool and the other sets are cool as well.

This series has been a favorite through out my life as a kid you build the sets and try to do the combo builds from the website or what you see online then you make your own designs and you get better with your creativity from there
I got into it mid-end of the witch doctor series (don’t remember the name) and the start of break out and got most on the ones i wanted and some last year from past series’s via ebay (thanks mom) and bionical still has exclusive parts
and this inevitably spiraled into future projects im working on all because of one moc i made,
and ive created more based on the original one and im stuck with no more parts to build and im tired of dismantling good builds
So now im stuck with 9 built, 2 as design ideas and one with too many limbs too little parts and one im not even going to try and build because i want it to be a 5ft octo thing
I got into Hero factory in 2.0 when my grandma bought me Surge, Nex, and Stringer from Homesense and I opened them up that fateful night. I went on to collect the series up until it's end, but I never got the 1.0 line (though I do have one of surges leg peices that I got from grade 1 back in like 2011)
Rocka's figure in Breakout has to be my favourite Hero Factory set till this day. Seriously, a crossbow and a shield just struck my younger self with too much awe, and the show was actually entertaining
