Really like your battle reports, that's why I subscribed your channel. One question if you please: On Battlegroup when you issue a fire order to a tank (without moving), can you shoot the main gun and MGs (bow and coax) at the same time?
Bruno .Gonzaga glad to hear you like the reports! I'm 99% sure that you have to choose between firing the main gun or coax mg with one order. If you give the tank an Open Fire order you can use one action for the main gun and the other action for the mg.
Did you find it a little disappointing that a game that was shaping up quite well was curtailed so abruptly? I think this is the second Battlegroup video that I have seen where an air strike totally dominated the game, it might have been your first one or possibly someone else's, I can't quite recall at the moment. I'm slightly reminded of the moment at the end of Saving Private Ryan where a P-51 air strike takes out the Tiger that was about to wipe out the Americans. :)
This is the first time we've had one come in an alter a battle to that effect. I know Vin was way more disappointed than I was :) Its funny you mention that Saving Private Ryan scene because that exactly what I was thinking when I editing the video together.
The Germans put all their eggs in one basket and advanced up the most obvious route. They practically begged to be hit from the air. That many direct hits was lucky but they were courting misfortune.
I have a quick question. I have decided to build my first army, and I can't choose between American Armored or German SS Panzers. What would you think is better?
The good thing about building Germans is you will most likely have more opponents when you get to play and German armor is usually a pretty balanced list vs most forces. American armor is pretty good too but I always felt like the Germans do it better on the table top.
Thanks. I totally agree. I remember your SS v. 3rd armored, when you had 3 king tigers and 4 or 5 panzer 4s, versus more than 15 shermans, and you still won. I would like to see another one of those videos, or you could do a russian swarm of t-34s against German Tigers and Panthers
Vin next time use proper spacing of your vehicles keep more than one blast radius between vehicles. this helps avoid what happened in the game. I think you had the Americans on the ropes until you lost your fire power. Also what happened to your panzerschreck teams they need to ambush those us tanks good luck next time

A Proper Cuppa The large plumes are by Sic Creations. They are great for tanks but we still use cotton for the smaller stuff.
