Ultimate Lightweight Climbing System?! | Bullman Outdoors | Silent Approach | Saddle Hunting

  • Walt breaks down one of the systems he climbed trees with during the 2019-2020 season while saddle hunting. The Bullman Outdors Silent Approach system packs a tremendous value and has a very minor learning curve. It may be the ultimate lightweight climbing system, and that's largely from an ability to pack them however it is most convenient to you. Chase, Walt's co-host, will likely blend traditional sticks with a set of these so he can climb just about any tree.

    Hello sir, a little follow up here. I decided to go with 3 sticks but put a 6 pack set of Silent Approach Steps on my Santa List. I used them with 1 stick on some late season hunts and loved it. I think I'll buy a few more and go totally Silent Approach. The weight savings sold me and once I learned how to use them I felt very safe. The trade off's are worth it for me. My sticks will go with an older stand in a spot I can leave them. Take care!

      That is really hard to do as a solo filmer but I will do another video and have my wife reposition the camera for me as I climb.

      I respectfully disagree. They tend to move sometimes when climbing and the foot to boot traction is less then ideal. I would go with cam over steps instead.

    I'm looking at the 10 pak to go with my new mobile stand. The question for me is the number of times I reach around the tree but weight factor vs sticks is sealing the deal. Thanks, great review.

      I’m so glad you liked it. I think the fiddle factor is a real thing, but everything has trade offs like you said. It takes some practice but they sure are a fun way to climb!

    Are these easier and better than sticks?

    • @ChasingTalesOutdoors
      @ChasingTalesOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Worry less about ease and superiority, and more about a style and system that fits YOUR needs. Prioritize what you need and what is important to you and find the system that works best for that. These are light, packable, and easy to use.

    • @ChasingTalesOutdoors

      @@mr.skeptical3071 Then the Timber Ninja C1's are your best option hands down. It is the lightest stick, features double steps, doesn't require noise dampening materials, has a built in aider if you want that, and the rope system is super easy to tie. I know you're skeptical after you listened to someone else but I would encourage you to call Jason about your concerns. They are a fantastic stick and meet your parameters to the T.

      @@ChasingTalesOutdoors thanks so much. I have emailed them today and they did respond. I'm looking to get to around 18' with only 3 20", all with aiders. My platform would be 1'- 1 1/2' higher than my last stick so that'll help, but I'm only 5'7.

      @ChasingTalesOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This was in my earliest videos and I didn’t have the best foresight while shooting to include it. That said, even now I try not to highlight things that can be explained by the company or other videos.
      My goal is to give you my opinion and highlight things you can’t find on a company’s website. Bullman has a bunch of climbing videos to watch.
