Quan Chi, a character I truly admire in Mortal Kombat, often faces defeat but consistently rises again, showcasing his resilience and refusal to surrender easily. Despite frequent setbacks, his unwavering determination adds another layer of depth to his character. It's inspiring to witness his ability to bounce back, reminding us that true strength lies in the ability to persevere. Even though his journey ultimately concludes with his demise, his tenacity throughout the narrative leaves a lasting impression.
Hypeeeee, glad to see this again, in the og story Quan chi was the most powerful sorcerer. In the Kung lao tv show quan chi originates from the cobalt mines as well as mk1...
I wonder how did he not become desiccated or die from the ghost taking his soul? Maybe they took apart of his soul/consciousness or the part of him that was capable of feeling any guilt or remorse making him as sociopathic as the original timeline version.
To me it almost looks like there is a sort of switch going on because at 18:30 Quan's soul comes out his mouth and if you look carefully you can see some of the other souls power go into Quan Chi. So I think he was able to keep from dying by pulling back in some of his soul.
I will say while I really enjoyed the even more conniving portrayal of Quan in the Reboot Timeline, the way they made him behind everything in the that timeline was really annoying. Like he was responsible for basically everything and he wasn’t even the final big bad. Excited to see how he plays in MK1 tho, him and Khameleon look great. Great video again bud :)
@@frogurtcremebrulee5252 maybe he will get his chance this go around….or maybe there will be a second expansion after the havik one I would love to see death god Quan chi
Quan Chi has been one of my favorite MK characters since the beginning; his design, his lore, and his powers and fighting style have always stood out as being unique and badass. I was elated to see him return for MK1, but was utterly disappointed when it was revealed that he has a new voice actor. He went from literal perfect casting in MK9 and MKX to... that. Luckily his gameplay looks rad as hell, so that helps 💀
Still find it baffling how devs thought it would be a good idea to introduce multiverse bs when the third timeline has not even be fleshed out properly. I like the game’s story but it seems the devs have their priorities on basically making power fantasies rather than actually sticking with their own ideas
@@nabilahmed579 idk who has the creative control but it's clear they just follow the trend of whatever the mcu is doing. They introduced time travel in MK11 after endgame too.
@@pggalantd honestly, I’m surprised they decided to even follow the mcu trend. MCU had phase 4 as most of it being shit due to doing things way too much. You would think it would be a good idea to avoid it entirely for this game and then next few games going forwards. It’s like NRS is being purposefully unaware when it comes to what’s happening with lore.
I was apprehensive to Quan's new VA. But given his new timeline status as a sleazebag manipulator that dabbles with the eldritch instead instead of a several billions year old demon I believe he is quite fitting.
I really miss 2 MK Games. Deception and Armageddon. Deception for traditional fighting game and Kharacter Kreator...and Armageddon for the story mode. Both those things made it so much more replayable. Wish new games would make a story mode like those again
Watching this made me think back to the midway timeline. Since how diferent some events in MK9 are to it's predecessors and what 11 and 1 showed us. Raiden didn't contact his past self but a diferent timeline. Though if a Chronica exist in the midway timeline she may have reset it because if her balance mentality or Shao killed her since he became to powerful.
I still don't like Quan Chi, to have both Hanzo & Bi Han go at each other was bad enough, but if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have Scorpion & Noob Saibot.. So, I give him a pass... Just this once!
10:40 So Quan Chi was tossed off by Shang Tsung on the Pyramid Of Argus! No wonder they were so close 😂 And I can see why Shao Kahn and Raiden made it to the top as Shang Tsung was busy pleasuring Quan Chi!
I miss Quan Chi's VA from MK9 and X. He's so memeable now.
Lmao even Ferra doesnt take Quan Chi seriously. "Egg man go crack, crack."
Even his laugh in MKX is memeable. Youre just biased asf.
@@Tribrid-zv3nqnah his voice is good in mk1, if you want to complain about VAs then be mad at Megan fox as Nitara

For some reason, I like Titan Quan Chi. Don’t often see him, but that version of Quan Chi proved to be powerful.
Quan Chi does have the power to do Necromancy.
I still love how Shang Tsung literally got played by himself.🤣🤣🤣

Titan Shang: "I'm you, but an even craftier bastard."
MK1 Shang: "Of course you realize this means war."
I'm liking what they've done with Quan Chi so far in this new timeline. I hope he get more time to shine in the future.
He forgot to mention Protector Quan Chi who fought with Protector Shang Tsung against the titan versions of themselves.
Quan chi is one ☝️ of the best mortal kombat fighters because he’s a sorcerer 🧙♂️
The release dates for Quan Chi are December 14th for deluxe edition and December 22nd for standard edition
I wish they'd specify that in the trailer 💀
Been following your channel since the begining. Thank you for re-creating content as times have changed. Probably my favorite MK TH-cam channel.
I like Quan Chi’s new magic abilities. Do you?
Definitely
Yeah the tentacles are interesting

Quan Chi: Greetings, I see the ninja has been successful in retrieving my map... as I have forseen.

The new army isn't the Dragon King's, it's some random Emperor's. Shang Tsung tells the story of it. It has nothing to do with Onaga.
Throughly enjoyed this,Thank you so much!!Your narration was very entertaining!
Shang Tsung may have a big impact in the Mortal Kombat Universe but when we talk about fighting quality, quan Chi was always the stronger fighter
My Top 4 NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat video games:
1. Mortal Kombat 1 (aka, MK12, even 2nd reboot)
2. Mortal Kombat 11
3. Mortal Kombat X (aka, Mortal Kombat 10)
4. Mortal Kombat 9
I hope you do all the new timeline characters the way you did the old ones; love these videos 👍
