Besides eating them, Making Tamales with my Mother & any one else that helps.....it definitely helps when more than 1 or 2 people makes them especially when making over 4 dozen of Tamales....I also get to make my own recipe for day after Christmas Breakfast Tamales of Chorizo & Cheese ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you to everyone at #DWFood for all your videos and education. I really appreciate videos when we get to see the people out celebrating local holiday (and how the do it). I do think we need a few videos on bratwurst ; ) All the best to the entire team over the holidays and may everyone have a healthy, happy, and successful 2024.
Bratwurst, some of the sweet foods and one Glühwein is all you need for a perfect christmas market trip in germany. Btw Grünkohl with Pinkel is a traditional dish in northern germany. It may looks not so good, but it´s a real soulfood and one of my favorite traditional dishes in germany. You may also look for "Spekulatius" in germany. It´s a special cookie just made for the christmas time.
In Tuebingen I only saw everyday food from india , Falafel and grilled Sausages. Plus one of the worst Gluehwein ever, it was like tea with some wine. Thankfully another sales man had proper Glühwein which is still quite a step down from Glögg.
In Germany, there's a disrespectful practice of referring to black people as "chocolates," which is undeniably racist. It's not a form of honoring individuals; instead, it reduces them to an offensive stereotype, likening them to "hot chocolate." This practice is unequivocally racist.
I don't see where that's racist. Chocolate is a nice sweet delicacy, in contrast we Germans are called potatoes or by the Americans "Krauts" based on our eating habits which is much less charming, people with rly light skin might be called " Toastbrot", I am both German and rly pale and find neither racist. Maybe in context it might be
No. "Hot dogs" are either Wieners (Austrian variety) or Frankfurters (German variety). We have Bratwursts in the U.S., very good ones, even. They are a mainstay in much of the Midwest ("barbecue" is often what you call it in summer when you're grilling brats). Beer and brats is a massive part of Wisconsin culture - from the German immigrants.
What's your favorite festive dish, snack or drink?
Bultwurst mit bissem rotkohl.

I wish I could visit a Christmas market.
my favorite in Xmas Markets is the mushroom. I had the blessing of going to some of European Christmas markets and they are a must see.
