As a spanish cityzen i have to say that this report it's very complete. The subject is still sensible in today's politics (for all the wrong reasons), but i truly hope that one day our society can reach a middle ground and repair all the damage done to the relatives of almost 900 victims of ETA and the families of the 27 killed by GAL.

In Spain are the Basque people treated as indigenous people? They have been there for at least 5000 years, when the Corded ware culture first interbred with the even older indigenous people. Spanish speaking Europeans are just the most recent group to try to take their land.

There will never be real peace until a peace and reconciliation process takes place in Basque country.
