Male Pileated Woodpecker 03-08-2024

A beautiful Male Pileated Woodpecker, doing what Woodpeckers do best!! You can occasionally hear his mate pecking away on another branch just a few feet away. You can also hear a LOUD Moorhen (or Common Gallinule) toward the end, as well as an Osprey making its presence known. Shot at the BEAUTIFUL Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland, Florida. If you love wildlife, this is the place to go!! You will be surrounded!! I apologize for the focus going in and out. The wind blowing the Spanish Moss caused that. I'll do better next time!!
