Being too stubborn to change because he wants to stay loyal to players even if thye're more producing instead of benching them. He's the common denominator for failure when it comes to super teams falling short/underachieving. He failed at Clippers and made little to no changes, 76ers he did the same sh*t and showed how stubborn he could be by sticking with what wasn't working and now the Bucks should be first in the East with this talent but we see what's going on. Remember Ray Allen had the same issue in Boston with Doc not implementing any set plays for Allen in the offensive schemes they ran.

Certain players score less than other players but their team play contribute to more wins than your top scorers. The best scorers are not always your best players. Check Tim Duncan for example. You can score more points than him but he's more likely to get the ring than your top scorers.

Just to reiterate other’s comments. Thibs created the ICE defense that not only won the Celtics a title, but changed NBA defense in general. There is no team without an ICE set to slow the pick and roll.

Docs biggest strength was believing in the guys that would be overlooked like Big Baby and Perk but that's also been his biggest weakness in this era. Being too stubborn to change because he wants to stay loyal to players even if thye're more producing instead of benching them.
He's the common denominator for failure when it comes to super teams falling short/underachieving. He failed at Clippers and made little to no changes, 76ers he did the same sh*t and showed how stubborn he could be by sticking with what wasn't working and now the Bucks should be first in the East with this talent but we see what's going on. I don't think defending this man anymore makes sense imo.
