The fact that this was the last song/special album before Hoon enlisted too.. it was a tearjerker for many of us 🤣🤣 the other song on the album, is a re-recording of a song from their M.A.S 0094 days.. I can’t wait for your reaction to Still Here
Thank you so much for this reaction! Continuing my personal tier-ranking: Roommate is a Tier 4 song for me; it's beautifully nostalgic and has gorgeous harmonies, but it's not quite my style so I listen to it more rarely compared to many ONEWE songs. Still really lovely, though!
Yonghoon wrote this one! He said that he wanted to make it sound like a conversation between him and Dongmyeong, that's why as you can see they have almost equal line distribution in this song. Actually, if you count the harmonies as both of them singing, DM has more lines than YH lol. YH said they had some difficulty doing the line distribution in this comeback. (think he said all this in the moonlight radio or sth) Edit: My bad, it's called Studio Moonlight not Moonlight radio lmfao
Roommate is in this OST-ish genre of songs that I usually wouldn't even bother listening to if it wasn't a onewe song. It's pretty but just not really my style. The OST vibes probably stem from the fact that it was inspired by the band's formation story! This does make me wonder how your perception of their songs would change if you were reading the lyrics because while you can infer a lot from the vocals and instrumentals I think you're missing a lot of what makes Onewe's music special by forgoing the lyrics. Most of my favorite Onewe songs are my favorites _because_ of the lyrics and it feels like a disservice to the songs to not look into them. Hey Whitness, I've mentioned many times on the channel. I don't think music HAS to be enjoyed by looking at lyrics. While I like lyrics, most of the songs I love in my life are songs that I probably couldn't telll you most of the lyrics off the top of my head. I can still feel music without checking out lyrics.
So just to prepare you, on any of the ranking series I do, knowing the lyrics has never improved or degraded any song after I've heard about them. I appreciate them but they are definitely not the biggest reasons why I love music
Interesting your placement for this song (pretty good, imo). Roommate's main selling point is the vocals and the reference to their formation story, but is kind of bottom of ranking for me. I feel that the distictive sound of the instrumental line is diluted here (the strings take too much space) and the melodies are nice but a bit generic (OST-like).
Please react to onewe's arirang i'm live. Its a 2020 live music performance i guess, i'm sure you're gonna love it!
what a great week for me, purplekiss, hwasa and onewe reactions hope you get into oneus too

This sing was origenally written by Yonghoon and a good friend of his. It refrences the story of the group and the MV is from Yonghoons point of view.
