"Gotta get it off, they go for the ballgame. Touchdown! Touchdown! Michael Jenkins on 4th an 1...would you believe it!" Classic game classic Musburger. Awesome commentary no matter what you think of good ole Brent.
Oh man the memories. The last play of the '02 title game just gaves me chills. We ended a 30-some game win streak that night. Kellen Winslow probably burned his sombrero hat after that one :)
These are all great plays, and it is only matter of opinion, but I would have to agree with others that Maurice stripping Taylor of the ball would have to be in the top ten. Probably the most important play in that game, if not the decade.
Not only in it an amazing play in general but it has to be one of the best plays in a national championship game ever. So with the added stakes it should be number 1. I don't know how Maurice's catch made this list and him stripping the ball didn't
I believe that was in 2010. They beat Ohio State in Iowa City to win the Big Ten that year. It was a good game. Props to the Bucks for putting up a fight though in that one.
I think the best one is from the game against the U for the national championship where we through an interception and then Clarrett ran the defender down and stole the ball from him. That was a play I've never ever seen before and certainly made that win a reality.
im a purdue fan, and i agree with this is a pass, that holy buckeye play was crazy, who has the guts to put the game on the line with a long pass when you only need one yard for a first down..... bad day for purdue fans, but unbelievable play.... got to give them that
The best play was Holy Buckeye vs Purdue- without Krenzel to Jenkins we would have never played for a title and the MVP of the 2002 team was Andy Groom- the punter
#1 play though forsure of the 2000's is Ohio State at Purdue 2002 Craig Krenzel TD to Mike Jenkins classic for the games only touchdown Kieth Jackson I miss that man!
Great list, but there were two great plays that I wish could be shoehorned in there... Ginn's dance around OK State defenders in the Alamo Bowl, and Gonzo's TD against Iowa where he reversed field and ran 100 yards for a 30 yard score. Also, Allen's interception of Navarre in 2002, I guess. Just too many great plays in this last decade to satisfy everyone! Go Bucks! Great list!
Not mad at all, watch the replay before you talk duder, incidental contact is not being pushed. UofM fans are very proud to have kept it as close as we did in those Tressel years, hard to beat a team that pays players that much.
The touchdown to Brian Robiskie at :53 is almost the exact same call from the Ohio state Wisconsin Braxton Miller to Smith. and both called by Brad Nessler. Watch both almost word for word..
ted ginn jr was probably the best receiver to wear a OSU jersey. granted he had a great QB but his speed was unmatched. chris wells and pryor was a hell of a duo too, both had the ability to make plays
Lee Solomon Yes, Thank you. he has to be in the convo as well. I could probably name 5 OSU WRs that were better than Ted Ginn Jr. right off the top of my head.
Definitely number one. Not only is it an amazing play by itself but when you include the stakes and what the play meant, it's probably in the top 5 college football plays of all time.
I like the Big 10 and hope Iowa wins every game expect for when they play Ohio State. LOL. Hopefully Big 10 has another winning bowl record next season.
This gives me a chill I remember so many of these plays there is so many more I could think to put Ohio State football is something else haters can keep running there mouth Traditon doesnt graduate bottom line!
U did wonderful! #1 is definitely correct. U should have added Will Allen's big interception of the 2002 Michigan game. Based On all of these comments there is only 1 thing to do. Have a "Top 50 Buckeye plays" video and put it up for sale!!! (NCAA AND OSU permission would be needed.) I will definitely buy it.
No Clarett strip, no Smith to Ginn in the 1 v 2 game. Not sure about this. Part of what make the plays great is the timing of them. All good plays, but it needs some work and definitely some updating. Maybe ask some people before the list is made?
Great List. Would have personally swapped #3 & #4. The only thing I dont like is the ESPN-esque #1 being the final play of a championship. My number one goes to Clarette stealing that interception back from Sean Taylor
no 4th & 14 from national title game? no clarett ripping the ball out of sean taylor's arms? also, there's so much musberger in this video my house reeks of scotch after having viewed it
Alright this may be hard to explain, but I shall try my hardest. The fab five played a sport with a round ball and a wooden floor known as "Basketball". It is actually an entirely different sport from football. Some guys on the fab five and teams that spanded into 1996-1997 borrowed and paid back around 300 Gs from a dude who is now dead. Mo "Fat-ass" Claurett was given 3 million through-out his lucrative stay at the ohio state. Troy Smith and Ted Ginn also make less now than in college. :)
Last play of the NC? How about the play where Will Allen snapped McGahee's leg like a pretzel? Or the play when Wilhelm blitzed through and jack hammered Dorsey into the ground so hard it concussed him and bruised his sternum.
btw US Ohio State fans 10-2 Big 10 Champs Rose Bowl Bound Beat Michigan again great season lets get that BCS win Jim Tress not all Ohio State fans find your coaching bad no coach is perfect and we all need to realize that Go Bucks
Yeah, you also lost at home to Northwestern with Vandenberg too. You were also lucky to have beaten Michigan State and Arkansas State. Iowa is far from a sure pick to win the Big Ten next season. The only key player we're losing is Doug Worthington so we're gonna have pretty much the same team next season.
nvlx23- Yeah, Iowa shows up in the smaller bowls like the Outback and Alamo Bowls. What's their record in the bigger bowls? Don't you have a 3-4 record in BCS bowls now? We are 7-6 in the Rose Bowl, 4-2 in the Fiesta Bowl, and 1-0 in the Orange Bowl. You have 11 Big Ten Championships in your 110 years in the Big Ten. We had 6 THIS DECADE. 34 total.
@hungarianirsh LOL you're off your rocker. But like I said, only time will tell. Should be interesting if we can get our handmedown prized recruit in shape to play for the upcoming season. :D
Gotta say Clarett stripping Sean Taylor after INT has to be on the list. Also, I would have like to see the Tedd Ginn Reverse for 68 yd TD vs Notre Dame in 06 Fiesta Bowl
truth is i dont think tressel is doing badly i just think hes doing with indisciplined players and it shows. the coach can only do so much but im not saying hes not to blame at the same time. for instance james laurinitis was very indisciplined he was out of position alot of times and got more credit than he should have couldnt afford to really blitz with the odds are someones not going to pick up there man ya know.
ROFL its funny how if miami wouldv made that touchdown it wouldv been an epic play that would have been a historical play but instead Miami gets shit on ...hard
lets see how fast youre spreafd offense works on ice. in the big ten we play real football ground and pound. btw sec teams havent played an away game north of the mason dixon line in a decade. Dont tell me big bad sec is afraid of a little snow?
gotta love traditions. As a Alabama fan, I understand that these kind of games are moments you will never forget. Respect to the Buckeye community!
Cool. But not having the Maurice ball strip, is kind of a crime.
I second that
Hoping to get into Ohio State University one day. One reason I wish to get accepted is so I can follow the footsteps of my grandfather... Go Buckeyes.
Holy Buckeye! I get chills every time I see that play.
"Gotta get it off, they go for the ballgame. Touchdown! Touchdown! Michael Jenkins on 4th an 1...would you believe it!" Classic game classic Musburger. Awesome commentary no matter what you think of good ole Brent.
Holy Buckeye will always be the most iconic Buckeye play ever, imo. Thanks Musberger!
Holy buckeye still sends chills down my spine. Remember it like it was yesterday.
last night's throw from miller to smith is right up there too with all the other great buckeye moments - GO BUCKEYES!
Oh my, thanks for these... I am officially ready for kickoff!!
Oh man the memories. The last play of the '02 title game just gaves me chills. We ended a 30-some game win streak that night. Kellen Winslow probably burned his sombrero hat after that one :)
They are 14 and 0...and they are the NATIONAL CHAMPIONS of college football!
I don't know how Maurice's catch made this list and him stripping the ball didn't
i'll never forget any of these, but ESPECIALLY smith to gonzalez. wow that made me yell with excitement when i was watching that live!!
I believe that was in 2010.
They beat Ohio State in Iowa City to win the Big Ten that year. It was a good game. Props to the Bucks for putting up a fight though in that one.

Freakin PHENOMENAL thank you and thanks all GREAT BUCKEYES
I think you missed the smith-ginn play action pass on 2nd and 2 vs. Michigan in 2006. That was probably the best play fake in buckeye history.
Yep. Should have been top 5 along with clarret stripping the ball.
@MrMiamiswagga
Only been seven years...and Cryami is STILL pissin' & moanin'...
I LOVE it.
Bucks forever man pryor is getting better i saw him evolve at the penn state game this year
Great video
The best play was Holy Buckeye vs Purdue- without Krenzel to Jenkins we would have never played for a title and the MVP of the 2002 team was Andy Groom- the punter

Im Specialist Disagree. David Boston
DonDolla11 Chris Carter
Lee Solomon Yes, Thank you. he has to be in the convo as well. I could probably name 5 OSU WRs that were better than Ted Ginn Jr. right off the top of my head.
Holmes, Gonzalez, and Ginn was an unstoppable force
deathbyqtip33 Don't forget the QB that was throwing to them.
The Purdue play to Jenkins is probably 1. If they lose that game they don't play Miami.
Clarett stripping Miami on the turnover in the NC #1
Lol at tressel walking out there with his headset on like a helicopter pilot
Not a bad list but "Holy Buckeye" has got to be #1
that rip was awesome
Cant argue with #1
Our Sugar Bowl performance will have some plays for this decades best plays. What a sweet victory that is...to beat an SEC team in a bowl!! Go Bucks!
#1 and #2 are so close in my book. Its so hard to choose! GO BUCKS
Muarice Clarett's strip is a top-3 play in my opinion
Adam Steinmetz I agree it was a vital play in that game and plus how often do you see that anyway
Definitely number one. Not only is it an amazing play by itself but when you include the stakes and what the play meant, it's probably in the top 5 college football plays of all time.
Bold prediction TimOaks. You better hope Stanzi doesn't get hurt again because your recruiting class for next season isn't all that impressive.
awesome!!!
I like the Big 10 and hope Iowa wins every game expect for when they play Ohio State. LOL. Hopefully Big 10 has another winning bowl record next season.
i think braxton's td throw to devin smith against wisconsin w/ 30 secs left deserves an honorable mention
Best plays ever!!!
This gives me a chill I remember so many of these plays there is so many more I could think to put Ohio State football is something else haters can keep running there mouth Traditon doesnt graduate bottom line!
Clarrett stripping the ball from taylor might be the best osu highlight ever.
How is Maurice Clarett's Fumble and then taking it back not on here??? that was one of the best!!
I love how theyre all against Michigan
+Mike Wayne #9 was against Wisky, not TTUN.
ha
I hate michigan
@scotchy534 Pryor's suspension was lifted he's aloud to play ALL the games this season and he he still was... we now have Braxton Miller.
I wouldn't doubt it, but that is a long time from now.
No Clarett strip, no Smith to Ginn in the 1 v 2 game. Not sure about this. Part of what make the plays great is the timing of them. All good plays, but it needs some work and definitely some updating. Maybe ask some people before the list is made?
I think about half of these plays were against the team up north... and that's how it should be
well said kinder5!!
Great List. Would have personally swapped #3 & #4. The only thing I dont like is the ESPN-esque #1 being the final play of a championship. My number one goes to Clarette stealing that interception back from Sean Taylor
I'm an ND fan but I like the Buckeyes cuz they always kick Michigan's ass!
no 4th & 14 from national title game? no clarett ripping the ball out of sean taylor's arms?
also, there's so much musberger in this video my house reeks of scotch after having viewed it
cant wait for OSU to be at the Browns stadium
C Grant looked pretty darn fast for a Big Ten Player. LOL! Take that Miami!
Needed Malcolm Jenkins pick-6 vs Penn State 2006 and Maurice Clarret stripping the ball from Sean Taylor, I have that play on my channel
Amen to Maurice Clarret stripping the ball, probably the most incredible play I have ever seen in sports.
Best play ever was the urban Meyer hire
btw US Ohio State fans 10-2 Big 10 Champs Rose Bowl Bound Beat Michigan again great season lets get that BCS win Jim Tress not all Ohio State fans find your coaching bad no coach is perfect and we all need to realize that Go Bucks

@indianbrownie23 Yes, because free tattoos have scientifically been proven to increase speed, vertical leap, and strength.
@hungarianirsh
That's why we have five teams ranked in the preseason top 25 -- that doesn't stem from having garbage teams.
The No 1 play should be when App State blocked the Michigan FG.
you have to remember pryor is only 19yrs old...he cant even buy beer bet yet he has 60,000+people watching him every saturday
Did you see that blitz by Cie Grant!? Why can't we do stuff like that anymore???
It's the play that nobody talks about.
very nice but i would have to put clarett's strip of sean taylor after that int in the miami game
I hope one day i can follow in the footsteps of My dad BJ sander and go to OSU
@Qnz1kim I"m looking foward to that game.
the hurricanes dont stand a chance this year.
COME ON......BUCKEYES!!!!!!
This video was made on my 2nd Birthday.
Was anyone looking at the scoreboard for all of these lol.... I don't remember these games being so low scoring haha.
+Ttam Thegreat Tressel was pretty conservative when he was at OSU.
Brent Musburger makes it so much better.
My favorite is #4 hands down
nvlx23- Yeah, Iowa shows up in the smaller bowls like the Outback and Alamo Bowls. What's their record in the bigger bowls? Don't you have a 3-4 record in BCS bowls now? Lets go bucks!!! bring home that rose bowl today!
@jcpacelli hell yeah, and a.j. hawk too~
I literaly tear up and laugh when I see these plays. FUCK YES! O-H I-O!
@hungarianirsh
LOL you're off your rocker.
But like I said, only time will tell. Should be interesting if we can get our handmedown prized recruit in shape to play for the upcoming season. :D
number 1 should be holy buckeye ....4th and 1 they go deep ...without that catch number 1 wasnt possible
If this was updated Braxton Miller would've had plays 1-10
@1972mgoblue A culture of pride and SPIRT!!!!
We win, that's all Ohio State does....all the time!
Ted Ginn did everything.
im playin n a few years ima walk on wen pryor is a senior, as a slot reciever or safety
Gotta say Clarett stripping Sean Taylor after INT has to be on the list. Also, I would have like to see the Tedd Ginn Reverse for 68 yd TD vs Notre Dame in 06 Fiesta Bowl
at 2:54 it sounds like he's saying "holy fuck-eye"
@trevgreen22 me too...win doesn't happen without that play...I guess that throwing an interception can not make your "best" list though.
Great vid to get you pumped up for the start of a great season...GO BUCKS
O-H-I-O
ya i've realized that, but u don't have to go out of ur way to be a jerk about it
truth is i dont think tressel is doing badly i just think hes doing with indisciplined players and it shows. the coach can only do so much but im not saying hes not to blame at the same time. for instance james laurinitis was very indisciplined he was out of position alot of times and got more credit than he should have couldnt afford to really blitz with the odds are someones not going to pick up there man ya know.
ROFL its funny how if miami wouldv made that touchdown it wouldv been an epic play that would have been a historical play but instead Miami gets shit on ...hard
I'm not looking it up but I'm almost positive that Pryor 11 yard run was 2008, not 2009
That Terrelle Pryor TD vs. Wisconsin was in 2008, not 2009.
@jcpacelli amen!!!
That game against Miami is one of my favorites, absolutely fucking HATE Miami.
lets see how fast youre spreafd offense works on ice. in the big ten we play real football ground and pound. btw sec teams havent played an away game north of the mason dixon line in a decade. Dont tell me big bad sec is afraid of a little snow?
