Skateboarding definitely belongs in the olympics, i consider it a sport, cuz its hard to do and can be physically exhausting... plus the risks of getting hurt
Inspirational beyond words! Shout out to Guy! Thanks, Ricky, for bringing out the beauty in humanity despite the struggles we face! Although you were scammed, it was a blessing in disguise as you made a friend and some great content!
wow guy story is kind like my i used to sk8t back in the 90's when i was a teen then stopped when i got hurt in my 20's. Got into drugs bad got off drugs started living sober again at the age of 45 and found my love for sk8ting was the only thing that kept me going. Thank you my guy if it was not for all you boys you helped save me! mad respect to each and everyone of you guys and mad love...
Andy and Ricky, in my opinion the two most creative skaters in the big leagues right now, watching either of them individually makes you want to get out and skate, watching them together makes me need to get out there and skate unfortunately where I live it's raining
I love how humble you guys are. You are both Top Tier Skateboard Masters. Having Andy Anderson be in shock and aw... He's been thinking about that trick every minute since he saw it 😂. Only The Rick could drop Andy's Jaw like that🙏
So glad for you bro! It's good to know you got to go to the event. You deserve it. Let's hope the blur action will work so that "the big games" don't strike you again.
Nothing makes me want to skate more than watching Ricky or Andy, the two most creative cats in the big leagues in my opinion, when I see them in a video together I need to skate, unfortunately where I live it rains a lot like right now ...
Skating is 100% a sport but it's also a hobby. You can do it competitively if that's how you enjoy it or you can do it artistically if that's your vibe. All I know is those skaters in the games this year were top of their game and deserved their place in the competition.
Having your girl with you was probably the best thing considering all the bullshit that happened. At least you guys will probably remember this for the rest of your lives :)
I found an old abandoned hard tennis court recently and thought, "wow that will be really cool to skate" and it was and like moving in plasticine. I imagine it was similar to your Plastic Paris Park. : / Edit:...and then you used a tennis court analogy, freaky!
No way Rickyy!! I can't believe that happened to you!! I was at the same event you were at and we must have been sitting a few meters from each other. Crazy!!!
I just want you to know I was watching sandler on rogan and saw your video and compulsively clicked it out of excitement over my current viewing content. And i love sandler and rogan ❤
Have always loved the contrast in styles between you and Andy. He’s smooth and elegant and makes it look easy, you’re powerful and large and do wild shit, but always feels like you could just lose it and slam at any moment. I get it sounds maybe negative about your style, but in the contrary it is what makes it unique and interesting to me.
Did I miss the nightmare part of this video? Chillin with Andy Anderson, Exploring Paris, meeting fans and others who share your passion and watching skating in the Olympics (which definitely belongs there just as much as gymnastics if you ask me). This was a cool video but again I must have missed the nightmare part...
I randomly watched this to see what happened and wow bro u got a Tom Penny sighting on film hat's worth the whole trip in my opinion he's always been my favorite skater but footage of him is rare and to see him at the Olympics is crazy wow
Honestly, i used to skate alot until 10 years ago. Now I'm monly once or twice a year on the board. But back then I was like: "Nah, skateboarding does not belong in the olympics..." But by now, i think it's a good addition. There are some tweaks i would make to the format. E.g. add a 3rd run, leaving the board during a run should give deductions, the value of a run should be higher than the best trick, 1 min time slot to do the trick in the best trick section. Those points are all reasons i've only watched the park this year. But in general, I think that skateboarding and skate-comps can benefit much more from the olympics and the power it gives to build associations, infrastracture, programs etc. But the effort to keep the culture within skateboarding like this, always will have to come from skateboarders themselves. Otherwise it's soon gonna be gymnastics, where people have mutual respect, but sometimes fun isn't part of the system...
The way I see it, I see gymnasts do flips and spins off of pommel horses and high bars, and I see skaters do fancy flips and spins on a skateboard. It requires just as much skill and athleticism. I also get the culture and skaters not wanting it to be tainted by mainstream stuff. But I think it will grow skating's popularity in this small dip the sport is in and get kids on boards so what's the harm? So glad you got to see the event. I watched all of the skate events on T.V. and the new crop of female skaters is so rad. Arisa Trew won gold! And Tate Carew. What you aussies eating? haha!
Oh thanks, reminding me of the tourist trap my ex fiance insisted we eat at. A little pub just off the northern? side street. Needless to say the next 24 hrs were spent in the bathroom. 😂😂😢
I was gonna go watch the skate finals, I checked two days before and the tickets weren't on sale then on the official site (15 Euro I think), so god knows how you got scammed on resale tickets haha. Only reason I didn't go for the day from the UK is because the return flights were like £500 instead of the usual £80ish. Dope you were able to attend though, Guy is a legend.
4:40 people getting scammed for events in Paris. Who'd have thought that would happen. Only thing left for the bucket list experience is getting robbed or bashed.
What tricks should I start out with If I am a beginner and I used to skateboard when I was younger but I am getting back into it and I never learn how to do tricks and I am 32 and I always wanted to learn how to do a kick flip
Im back in america lets grind on www.twitch.tv/rickyglaser

"Start with 4 of the most wholesome minutes" is spot-on; the Nightmare does begin right at 4:00...

Ricky and Andy are the best combo. Just skate happiness.
Johnny Giger, Ricky & Andy would be the ultimate trio, pure skate happiness as you said
"I want to get out of this negative mind set. I'm going to the catacombs." Good call, rick 😂
That was an Olympic level blur job at the end 😂
That blur is holding the line between skate vibes and DMCA. XD
With the way AK destroyed braille it makes me so happy to see all the boys still killin it with their own content. Awesome vid Rick! 💪🏽🤙🏻
You were the only real reason I watched the old channel. Keep up the great and fun content.

@6:25 I actually know the guy the designed this temporary park, I'm sending him this clip right now. It's already being disassembled
Skateboarding definitely belongs in the olympics, i consider it a sport, cuz its hard to do and can be physically exhausting... plus the risks of getting hurt
seeing Andy's genuine excitement to see Rick is so pure and awesome

I skated Paris in 2003, times have changed.
It looks like there are so many more spots now.
One of the GB swimmers families also got scammed like this, sucks it happened to you too :( Hope you still had fun regardless 🙏
the "yeeeeoooowww" every 5 seconds😭
Andy and Ricky, in my opinion the two most creative skaters in the big leagues right now, watching either of them individually makes you want to get out and skate, watching them together makes me need to get out there and skate unfortunately where I live it's raining
Andy is such a legend! Such a kind soul!

"As close as we can get" .. yeah boi 'as close as YOU can get' LOL
haha yeah she was working for the Olympics and had special access

The best thing that came out of braille for you was that lady by your side. Lucky man
Sorry to hear that brotha! Awesome seeing you going around the world thx for bringing us!
wow this city looks like it is so friendly to skaters! so many cool skate spots
So glad for you bro! It's good to know you got to go to the event. You deserve it.

that looks like they tried to vinyl wrap the skate park
classic skater thing to do lol
Yeah, it looked like it was meant to be some kind of skate board game, but they'd have done better to paint it rather than use vinyl.
Was probably cheaper than painting it.
anyone else get a lil retro "thrashin" vibe to the clip 👌....❤🇦🇺

taht reaction at 1:36 was gold 😂
Ricky love the vid love this travel skate combo! Keep em coming
end the debate; skateboarding is an activity. Which can then be taken to an action sport if chosen.
Rick i love ur videos and even when i have a bad day they put a smile on my face. Keep it up man.
Ricky how nice of that guy to give you a ticket, oh the catacombs muzeum is where you were ar ..the real catacombs were close by

Great Ricky ^^
That is a real savior, you belong to this event :)
No way Rickyy!! I can't believe that happened to you!! I was at the same event you were at and we must have been sitting a few meters from each other. Crazy!!!
Andy and Ricky.. the two personalities I adore most in skating on YT . :)

J'adore! So glad you’re out here sans Braille. Love this look into Paris during the games and it’s fun to see Andy out in the wild.

0:30 .... Did you said... WE got? Oohh man I'm so fortunate
Crazy how that dude looked like Andy Anderson in the beginning.
Why would they possibly think wrapping the skate park in vinyl would be a good idea?
Damn bro, that is a pretty crazy "little hippy Jump".
Andy is such a cool nice guy
Danny W and Gonz skated a pond underneath the eifel tower...Danny would give me Blind boards ❤
