That Braxton Jones has worked out so well is what has allowed Poles to take a swing at Abegadjie. Abegadjie doesn't have to start right away and can take some time to further develop the raw talent that he is. And the Bears are showing they can develop talent at Tackle. I love this pick. But just as important I love that it's not made out of desperation. Need? Absolutely. O-Line depth is absolutely a need. But the Bears aren't desperate at that position.

I don't see another team getting that value for a 2nd and 4th round pick. No way Dorlus or Booker make it to 122 so I am thinking Mohammed Kamara at 122. He is kinda the last prospect that could have some production at edge. That or go Mason McCormick g/c prospect. He can play almost anywhere across the OL. You won't find a Center at this point to replace either of the 2 signings from this past off-season. Is this where Poles trades to get 2 picks as projects? I am still waiting. Also I really like Trey Taylor out of Air Force. I believe his uncle was Ed Reed. Amazing work ethic and character. Either way we have won this draft! Bear Down!
This is a developmental player at 75, where there were several good pass rushers that help day one on the board. Braxton Jones type prospect, great, does not guarantee he will be another Braxton Jones!! If we had 10 or 12 picks, I can see this type of selection, but not with only three picks after the Williams pick.
I was thinking about cade stover too. Ryan pace would have burrowed 2025 picks and gone all in to try to win NOW. Instead we see ryan poles filling needs while accumulating picks for us to be like the Packers were with Rodgers. Sustainable winning team for many years to come. We will unfortunately have to get rid of guys like allen and rotate fresh players over time. I actually hope we extend allen to a 2-3 year deal so we dont need to draft WRs for a while. Do it while we have many guys on rookie deals now. But I would want to see how he plays with the team first. If he plays like he did in SD then extend him. I could see them work on his contract during the season. Amazing how we went toe to toe with division last year but now we are much better. Other teams improved too but i think we improved way more. One more year and we should have filled our needs then we can draft for depth after that
He comes with some risk. His footwork needs a lot of development. This is the cornerstone skillset of all offensive linemen. So, it's a good pick, but I wouldn't call it a slam dunk.

Good call on this pick. Long arms is a good physical trait and Oline depth is always good. Hopefully a lack of pass rush doesn’t kill us otherwise im pretty confident with our moves hopefully these players pan out
