Agree with Balas, although we have coaches familiar with Simpson, his 2024 injury and dismissal from the team doesn’t sound like a future MI Man with team culture fit and a game changer.
Michigan's offense can't possibly be worse. No wide receiver wants to come to Michigan to block. Until they can distance themselves from the Harbaugh offense this will be the deal. It's not like Cornelius Johnson and Roman Wilson were world beaters. They were just trusty, dependable guys. Semaj and Fred Moore are ballers. Cleary is a decent possession guy. Is Walker still on the team? To have good receivers you have to throw the ball. So everyone just needs to chill. Throw the ball actually show the school knows what a forward pass is and then we'll go back to having an NFL wideout room like Avant, Breaston, Mannigham
Give Wink a significant raise this year and try to get. A better contract if he really wants to stay, sign him up, but it has to have like a no nfl interviews. Um, football can't go through the whole will he stay, the Harbaugh saga hurt recruiting at UM.
We have talent in the receiver room we are bringing in some quality wide receivers what was needed was an adequate quarterback room which we have now corrected.
I didn't understand why Wink came to Michigan to begin with if he wasn't going to stay for 5 seasons and commit to continuing to build the program. When you have almost 30 years more coaching experience than the head coach, was this ever going to be a good fit for the long term? There are still a lot of questions with Sherone and last year without Wink would have been completely different. I just don't get as a career move why Wink came to Michigan to begin unless he was thinking about the head coach position. Now you have kids committing to Michigan who once again, may not know who the defensive coordinator is going to be. It sucks. You can't keep running the NFL to College to NFL revolving door for these coaches forever. Coaching was a big problem for this team last year and is still a weak link no one seems to want to talk about.

We're never going to be as consistently relevant and in position to win a title as ohio is. Our program is not committed like they are so a chance to win a title most years is off the table anyway. If that's your standard you're going to be thoroughly disappointed. It's just not realistic for UM.
