At minimum, he could act as an analyst to assist with film analysis and focusing on key needed improvements. It seems clear that Newsom needs to grow in his coaching skills.
YES!!! His past O-line experience as a Wolverine and straightforward way of speaking the facts, nothing but the facts, would earn him instant player respect and improve performance. Aren’t we allowed an unlimited # of analysts - why not?
Doug is 100% correct (again). If we have a great OL then we can play Michigan football, control the clock, move the ball with a balance offense, score and keep the defense rested. Doug should be a coach - he's very expreinced and would do a great job! Go Blue!
What I appreciated about you guys as a well oiled tag-team is Doug’s first hand knowledge from his 4-year line play at UM, mutual respect for each other other and calling it as you see it honestly. This leads to solid analysis that I hope Sherrone and all his staff pay attention to…Well done gents! Go Blue! 💙💪👏💙
Bout time guys! Been looking for the new video for days now! I agree with Skene. Many people were bragging up the 0-line in the Bama game. Still left room for a huge step to be taken. That was not a dominant run game. The young freshman back Marshall took a pounding and fought like a demon to get what he got.
Hey Balas, with all of your UM contacts can you please email this podcast to Sherrone and your top contacts? They may learn a few things and decide to hire Doug!
Some of the best surf ‘n turf I’ve ever laid eyes on. One question forgot to ask during the Open forum last week. How’s the back, Tim? All healed up with nothing to worry about?
How can the O-line staff not know all the things Skene talks about? It seems like common O-line coaching principles. They better be able to protect Bryce next year or changes need to be made.
Why is it that a lot of bigtime recruits/ players that we get, and has the size as a big time tackle that is sold as a tackle, and the first thing I hear is to move them to guard? Well, when in the hell are we going to recruit a true tackle, and not one who is sold to the fan base as one? That BS confuses me to no end.
I, for one, will blame Davis Warren's performance on the O line. From the first series of the first game, he had no protection. 0.5-0.75 second after the snap, he was under duress. With lat year's line, he'd have had a better season than Cade's championship season.
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (air carpet target dish off jeans toilet sweet piano spoil fruit essay). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
How does everyone feel about buckeyes winning the natty? It looks like sure thing. ND has little to no chance. The thing that helps me is they are not going 15-0 like us or Big Ten champions. It still sucks to watch, but hopefully this is once in a decade again
No, we'll ll be at home with a worthless reliaquest trophy and you lemmings will act like we actually accomplished something while THEY have a natty and they'll be deep in the playoff every year. We'll be celebrating missing playoffs but beating then in a game that is meaningless now.
Miss you guys; sincerely, the best duo to discuss Michigan football -- thanks
Agreed 100%.
Skene 👍🏼
For sure! Experienced matters!
I think that's why Moore brought in juan Castillo to help the o line
I really wish Mr. Skene would come back to UM and coach! I think he would do great. I think he could be a great recruiter also.

Bama's D might have had a little something to do with that.

Great show. I want to hear Skene and a Oline colleague talk about those pts to es where players lost control of their bodily functions. Good times.
This off season is going to be huge for the Oline what must they do to improve.
SO WHY don't we Employ this guy (Doug Skene ) at some capacity on our team. Sounds like we need to be coached up.
Balas and Skene Show! LFG

Is Grant Newsome ready to be an OL coach at a major D1 program?
Not at this time. That’s why Moore brought in Castillo.
6:23 this is why I watch.
Can skene coach our OL PLEASEEE
Doug, you need to coach for Michigan! The team really needs your experience and insight!
Hearing some rumors about Tru Edwards
Do whatever they can to land an experienced tackle along with Ty Haywood. The OL is currently slightly worse than last year.
Completely agree with Skene about the two teams in the Natty game. How do we get them both to lose?
Wow
I love that comment by Woody Hayes. You can’t be a national champion if you don’t win “The”game.
We should start calling osu little sister Ha
Grant Newsome... tell us what you're doing to improve as a coach we all see the Oline is not playing up to Michigan standards FIX IT..

As a fellow Michigan alumnus I understand the Ohio State dislike but just wondering why you dislike Notre Dame so much Doug.

Go Irish
Ryan Day keeps talking about adversity helping them.....translation: Michigan will be national champs this year if Ohio beats ND 😆

Jeez, guys, we just beat Ohio State and then Alabama after a mediocre season. You should smile more!
Losing 5 games is NOTHING to smile about
I definitely agree with both of you I won’t root for either, but, I hate Notre Dame more than any other team in college football!
