Thank you! Lincoln, it is a good and detailed intro about Microsoft List. Just wondering to know that is Microsoft Lists is based on the platform of the SharePoint list? or on the Microsoft Dataflex (Formerly known as CDS)? Just in case if it is based on SharePoint list platform so is it create the SharePoint site as well? i.e. as MS Teams create. On the other hand, if it is based on Dataflex (CDS) so is the SharePoint current list threshold limit to view only 5000 items are going away?
Wonderful step foreward for SharePoint Lists. But didn't hear anything about changing list item security to show\hide rows based on user role or group membership. Is there any?
@@PhotoSawyer nice to know. 👍🏾 But is there a way to apply this permissions based on datas and in a batch mode or automatically ? For example, if someone create an entry for the Marketing, users in another branch automatically can't see it?
@@PhotoSawyer I'll give it a try as I don't know (yet ?) Power Automate. In fact, someone show me Lists and from this I'm discovering the Power suite (App, Automate...).
The Virtual Summit Issues list has a column titled, "Days old." Is that what I hope it is: Finally the ability to calculate a date difference of today and the date given in another column?!? One that updates automatically with each passing day (unlike what we had with the Calculated column where an item modification/update was required)?
I am having a problem with my "age in hours" column updating when I open my list. I am using a calculated column =(NOW()-[Date reported]) however it will not update when I open my list. In fact the only way it will update is if I go into the record and click save. What am I doing wrong
This vaporware has been promised for over a year and we are still stuck with SP Lists and the awful 255 wide title primary key. Let us know when this really, really ships.
Microsoft Lists was announced first time in Build 2020 and is expected to be fully rolled out by end of July 2020. The Title column is not a primary key. If uniqueness is enabled, it can be used as a foreign key. The primary key for any SP List item is the ID. You can even edit the list such that the Title column is not required and hide it in forms.
I spy a Midleton Very Rare Irish Whiskey box in the background! Great video but my attention keeps getting drawn to the nice wooden box that I know has something inside that is very tasty to drink!
Thanks for that. Been waiting for an informative update. 1. Are you fixing the formatting issue. When formatting a column and later a user clicks on advance, the ability to change the formatting using the UI is lost. 2. Rules. How about updating the chat channel in teams instead of email. Too much email. 3. Ability to populate columns based on data entered in another column. If column A is pig then column C should be butcher.
Will you be able to build lists off of Project or Planner?
Will Lists support Lookup columns?

That can already be accomplished via unique permissions on the item. If the user or group doesn't have permission to view the item, it won't show up.

@@FaaBioo972 Use a Power Automate Flow to accomplish that.

Will Calendar overlay and/or Outlook Calendar syncing be available ?

Hi, I created lists and shared them with my manager a few months ago. Is there a reason why his lists are not refreshing as I make updates? Thank you
Can a list be updated with a power query for monthly updates of basic data?

Can one share a list, so that the user can add items but cannot delete?
Does MS Lists have row size limit?
Great demos, thank you for sharing!
Glad you liked it!

Are their threshold limits like SharePoint Lists?
i should have watched.. these are SharePoint lists... so yes... It would be really nice to increase a list view threshold more than 5,000

Is like monday. Com?
Airtable is probably a better comparison.
