Hi, I'm John, and I've been passionate about #history since I could remember. I majored in history and historical research and trained for a year under an actual historian. Ultimately, I am a History Buff like many of us. Let's #react and discuss things we know and so much we don't know about history!

The grumpy Muppet characters Waldorf and Statler were created for The Muppet Show which was filmed in the UK because no US Network would produce it.

The Muppet show was originally made in the UK . and the British version was two minutes longer . I used to work with someone in the TA. ( Territorial army) pretty similar to your reserves . It does seem odd to have a Military Coastguard . Nice to hear your thoughts as usual John , Family guy doesn't hold back but every Country has its faults .

Here in the UK our Regular Army calls our Territorial Army (our reserves) "The S.A.S.", meaning "Saturdays and Sundays".
You have to understand British military humour to really understand that one. 🙂
