I love your mastering checklist/guide man! Its simple, fun and easy to understand. I really share the same idear, that if it sounds good, it IS good. No need for expensive gear/plugins, that most times only has a placebo effect lol. So glad i found someone that talks about mastering and mixing in a non-rocket science Way. Cheers man😎
Hi Myshko, can't help feel a bit dubious about the EQ boosting for the master. I noticed you produce a lot of techno, are you sure this technique isnt just for this genre, a genre that typically lacks high mids? I feel like in principle you're right, do what sounds good, but I feel like not everyone needs to boost that freq. I find in more pop music, there's actually typically more of a scoop in that area
I'm absolutely not saying this is what everyone should do. I just gave an example of what I USUALLY do. For my specific headphones, and my tracks. As I mentioned in the video, you should figure out WHAT to change in the EQ by comparing your track to the reference track. Just make your track sound as close as possible to your reference track, and you should be good. What you need to do to get there will depend on the situation. Sorry if that didn't come across in the vid, and I hope my comment clears things up :D

I am SO glad it resonates with you. Thanks for the kind words, made my day :)
I thought mixing was putting stuff in the blender and turning the blender to 11.
I was surprised no swear words 😂😂
