- I explain the electrical circuit path of a VFD assembly on chillers. This technology is the mainstream for chiller technicians now and needs to be understood.

Looking forward to watch Bridge rectifier & IGBT testing thanks for sharing.
Great video. Thank you for sharing
Great job, thanks Holden!
The input filter's job is actually to stop noise from the rectifier from backfeediding into the grid. SCR's create all kind of electrical noise that will travel backwards theough the line and can blow electronic powersuplies that are fed from the same source as the VFD. Speaking of, you ever run into SCR-driven inverters? They were all the rage until like 2005 when IGBT's finally got high enough load ratings to be used.
True I also read this on a manual before…
what kind of meter do you use?
Is there particular meter you recommend? Wich one do you use?
"To recap", I see what you did there.... lol
🤔
Man nothing grinds my gears like hearing someone calling my carefully crafted and tuned 480 volt sinewave 460v. I worked so hard getting that tuned to EXACTLY 480, and then y'all derate it by 20v 🙄
I love your content but bruh I don’t know of any HVAC tech with an oscilloscope. You’re talking about component level electronics.
