More info on this service at www.textnow.com/ FYI, you should download the app and create and account (and get your phone number) BEFORE you order your SIM card... I did it the other way around and ran into some issues. You can order a SIM card at this link... rb.gy/q83vh5 You can also access this order page from the app too.
I know someone that this may be good for. He doesn't have a phone due to the cost. On wifi, access whatever you want. Away from wifi, free calls and texting. I think this may fit his needs perfectly. Thanks for sharing. 😎
I bought the SIM card after using it flawlessly over WiFi for three years. SIM card adds ability to turn off Wifi and make calls off their data network. Calls are reasonable. I use an Android. But the SIM card, porting in a second phone number of my choice, all tech support --- have been great. They pull off T-Mobiles network, so that is great too.
Really interesting indeed, Albert! Thanks for the review! 😃 We don't have anything like that here in Brazil yet... But who knows. Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I think that would depend on who makes that radio head unit. It probably will but I would ask the manufacturer support people for a firm answer as every device has it's own unique limitations.
@@AlbertKimTV Thanks for reply, it works with my Rogers sim card no problem, but it's not worth the monthly data fee price . This would be ideal @ $5 :) I'll try it !
I have not heard or seen anywhere a mentioned of an e-sim card for this service. I have an iPhone that does not accept a physical Sim card so how would I service this phone?

It works, ive had it for the past year
If you're using wifi most of the time, this service make a lot of sense.
VPN sounds like a great way to get kicked off the network.
This is probably the best review I've seen of this. Really going into the details
This is a great idea for a kids phone service. I love it!

Big tip: if you use vpn you can get access to any app using data
I might have to check this out. My phone bill is getting annoying.
For $5, it's worth a try.
Does it work ?
Interesting. At that price it is definitely worth a look. Thanks for the intro.

Who can complain about FREE cell service? I'm sure there's plenty, it's the Internet!
Will definitely need to try this.
Just for a second phone number this is really useful. Or for kids i think this is a great option.
Thanks for the demo and info. Awesome. Have a great day
Thanks for watching!
very nice tips for everyone
Thanks for watching!
One of my friends uses this for their kids and the kids aren't that happy about it! Haha!
Great info thanks
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video!
Will this work in car android radio (head unit) that can take sim card (data for google maps navigation only) Thanks
I think that would depend on who makes that radio head unit. It probably will but I would ask the manufacturer support people for a firm answer as every device has it's own unique limitations.

And when I open the app, it says shipped but not delivered
I wouldn't be surprised if USPS lost it. I would contact TEXT NOW and see if they can investigate. I can't help you, sorry.
@@AlbertKimTV ok thanks for the help
How fast did it ship?
I got it in about 5 days after I ordered it. It comes regular 1st class mail.
Will the sim card work in Canada?
You can check the latest coverage map here... www.textnow.com/coverage

They don't offer an esim yet but I have another video coming soon that talks about an esim option so you'll probably want to watch that video.
@@AlbertKimTV Thank you so much for replying to my question.
I will definitely keep an eye out for your video on that!
Ive used it for awhile with the sim i dont talk to many people and dont like spending money for something I hardly use.
This is great if you're on wifi most of the time.
My question is how long did it take for it to come in the mail?
I got it in about a week.
I wonder what the catch is if its free? Maybe most people end up paying for the upgraded options
It's the constant ads in your face. Might be annoying for some. The price you pay for free service.
Do you know what country they cover?
I think he said this is in the U.S. only.
Interesting.
Wouldn't be for me ,i could see the use case for kids limited access i suppose.
