I use the simple feedback model of Harold Black where the beta is the attenuator around the error amplifier. The 1/beta is asymptoticaly equal to the ideal gain if the loop gain is infinite. In the video, I explain that 10% to 90% is used for critically damped or overdamped systems. So, it depends on the waveform.
