My dad served in the Army for 8 years 8 months and 8 days and he survived but he only had one arm but I will always be proud to have a dad who sacrificed his life to try to save America. God bless Everyone
I was serving in the british army at an american army base in germany. This song brings back memorys from that time, i met a few good american soldiers there and this song would play and make me think of home, especially the cold beer on a friday night part
Thank you i may not have been born there but Germany is my home my ansesters come from Germany and Norway i greatly appreciate you for making sure my home is safe 💖
i remember i was on varsity football team and it was the last game against a really nasty team and i slammed the qb twice in the same series on the 2nd quarter and i was so happy it was such a good day and we ended up winning 56-14 and game ended and we won and this game immediately played after the game ended it was such a perfect moment
Just joined the Marines and in bootcamp they give us little courses/obstacles. Obviously they challenge us but there was one where we had to transfer “casualties” around the corner. Ofc we’re not getting shot at nor is it a real combat scenario but they introduce their own versions of chaos by tapping people to while in the course to become casualties. This is to build that sense of brotherhood and I’ll tell you that I’ve never felt a stronger sense of appreciation for our men and women in combat. Thank you to all you that have, are and will serve. Thankful to call yall my brothers and sisters 🫡
This might be one of the best country songs ever. Whenever I'm on the road and this plays on my mom's song list, I always ask her to turn the volume up. I've always gotten emotional about the part talking about how we should honor those who gave their lives for our country. Having lost family in Vietnam, it hits close to heart
Such a great song! I'm stuck in hospital currently and was take for a brain scan a few days ago. In the room this was one of a number of Country songs played. I'd never heard it before, but the lyrics "Cold beer on a Friday night" hit home hard! I instantly loved the song and found it on Spotify, and now here on TH-cam 🥰
If they gave an ultimate award to people of a particular genre of anything. Zack Brown Band would have a country music award that plainly states "We win"
I don't know why people hate on country music. My dad got me into country music and to be honest my favorite song is tied between Chicken Fried or Buy Dirt. I honestly think that country is amazing
I miss the good old days, it would be 8 at night and I would be half asleep in the car while listening to this I wish I could go back and change my life today and not just bc of this song
Wishing and thinking back on all the bad choices only leads to sadness and regret, change it from forward on to what you wanna be so that when you look back you don't regret what you have done(or haven't). Live like today may be your last day . Don't let now slip away, Make the best out of now, not ponder in the past.
Listened to this 7 4 2020, the day freedom and my America died in my eyes. Breaks my heart now the sad fall of a nation who forgot the price of freedom. 😢

I LITERALLY LOVE THIS SONG TO MUCH
Always play this song while taking a boat ride on the lake with my family
This song played when my dad was in the military...forever me and my dad's favorite song ❤❤
You know I like my chicken fried
A cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio u-up
Well I was raised up beneath the shade of a Georgia pine
And that's home you know
Sweet tea pecan pie and homemade wine
Where the peaches grow
And my house it's not much to talk about
But it's filled with love that's grown in southern ground
And a little bit of chicken fried
Cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up
Well I've seen the sunrise
See the love in my woman's eyes
Feel the touch of a precious child
And know a mother's love
Well it's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most
Not where you live or what you drive or the price tag on your clothes
There's no dollar sign on a peace of mind this I've come to know
So if you agree have a drink with me
Raise your glasses for a toast
To a little bit of chicken fried
A cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up
Well I've seen the sunrise
See the love in my woman's eyes
Feel the touch of a precious child
And know a mother's love
I thank God for my life
And for the stars and stripes
May freedom forever fly, let it ring
Salute the ones who died
The ones that give their lives so we don't have to sacrifice
All the things we love
Like our chicken fried
Cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio u-up
Well I've seen the sunrise
See the love in my woman's eyes
Feel the touch of a precious child
And know a mother's love
Get a little chicken fried
Cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio u-up
Well I've seen the sunrise
See the love in my woman's eyes
Feel the touch of a precious child
And know a mother's love
