Of all of the AOC Lore content that I've found, Narc starts the furthest back than anyone, he actually starts with the Essence itself and explaining a bit what's it's all about, then he brings in the 10 gods, and how they came to be gods all because of the Essence itself, no one else that I've found in my search for AOC Lore even goes back that far, generally all other Lore vids start out with …"there were 10 gods that existed..." and my first thought is always , well where did they get there power from? so I really appreciate Narc's story telling in that , it seems to start from the "Absolute" beginning, instead of just a general beginning -Good Work!
Yeah i really enjoyed making this series :D I techniqually have enough information to make another 4 episodes but the details are a bit sparse so.... I don't feel comfortable making up 60% of the information! in alpha 1 I'll be searching for more lore for sure :D
Imagine that a player can obtain all 4 relics and might be like a corrupt king and wage war on all the server And then the ancients will return and we will live in an apocaliptic world
Think that God War section is probably future expansion content or something. Dealing with betrayer gods and the first Verrans sounds a bit beyond launch-game's pay grade. At least directly fighting them, I mean. Also, I find it interesting that the decision to banish the betrayer gods and the ancients doesn't seem necessarily confirming that they were evil before being sent into the nether, and that the name 'The Others' was forced upon them. I sense that there's potentially a lot more moral ambiguity to this story than The Seven may want our characters to believe. Not all of the Others may be evil, or at least, didn't want to become what they are now.
well, interestingly :D You are able to actually worship The Others if you wish! It's all very interesting stuff. This is all part of the game's base lore so we won't be dealing with it directly no, it's just what happened in the past before WE came to verra :)

@@Narc For me it might be that I relate to much in real life and politics. Which have ruined it. Us vs them, we vs the others etc... When you go back in history it's often that the others were not much different from you that ruined the evil term for me. Also the others doesn't sound evil to me, more mysterious, which they aren't really according to the 7 other Gods. But such a minor thing that I can easily drop it.
Honestly, the others sort of have a point. The seven were paranoid and over controlling. The ancients didn’t choose who they were. To be killed for who they are is screwed up. I like that the bad guys are sympathetic.

Yeah I thought putting all the lore into 1 video would be just a good way to archive the love into chunks :) It's basically about 100 hours of work condensed into 1 video

I really like your intros, and your style, but for someone looking for solid info, the speculation was off putting. I know it's gotta be difficult producing content with little info to go on, but for me personally, the speculation clutters up the info. I have been spending a good chunk of today watching your videos, and I have found that I really am enjoying them. I just cringe at the speculation any time it comes up. I guess for me personally, I would prefer to hear it as "what I would like to see," rather than "what we might expect to see." And again, for me personally, I would prefer that kind of thing separated out from video sharing actual info from Steven et al. Just my 2 cents bud. You've got a good thing going here. Definitely keep it up.

wait.... the goddess of love, isnt that one of the guild wars 2 outfits you can get from their shop? cuz im like 99% positive i have that on my characters lol, because of that, I'm now assuming that for the most part, these gods representations are just character images pulled off the net as a sort of placeholder for now...

"Phenomena" is plural, "phenomenon" is singular. 20:35 "Me" would be used here instead of "I" because it should be in the accusative. The parents were lying to her, not she. Just as they were lying to me, not I. 22:15 I believe in this instance it should be "lay" instead of "laid" because "laid" is the past tense of "lay" while "lay" is also the past tense of "lie." It should be the past tense of "lie" because she is in a horizontal position, but "lay" requires an object because it is the act of placing something down.
This just goes to show why no mmo can make their player base happy. U got ppl who want an mmo that takes chances and moves the genre forward. And others who essentially want a better looking wow without Blizzard behind the helm.

all the coloured silhouettes, are the Gods from Guild Wars 2 that i used as placeholders. All the blacked out ones are custom drawn by me :) And Atrax/Ancients/Harbingers is also Custom drawn by me x
