Nick this honestly probably your greatest video yet, the amount of motivation i gained from this is insane. I know your not gonna see this, but thank you for all the content you make.
I had a crisis while at school and had a huge talk with my teacher about how my entire life I always thought I was predestined for failure; then I watched this video and it made me realize failure is okay as long as you aren't complacent with it. I really needed this.
This was one of those movies I didn’t really LOVE as a kid, but the more I watched it as a teenager and now as an adult the more I realize the Masterpiece this is. First introduction to two of my favorite filmmakers working today
Hey man. I just finished watching this vid and it made me curl up and cry. While the movie holds a very special place in my heart as a source of creative inspiration, it's your personal musings that drove me to look deep into this film and why it really struck me. Making me realise and reflect on myself is one of the things I have learned in watching your videos. While movies and other media was how I found your channel, it's the essay parts that kept me watching more. I love your videos. I love your ideas. I believe in you and I'm proud of you of going through.
Miller and Lord are probably my favorite creative people to ever exist. Every project of theirs is just so incredible, they put so much love and creativity into everything they do and generally fly under the radar in terms of famous Hollywood people. I truly do admire them and their work and I'm so happy to see someone else recognize just how wonderful their work is
I feel so sorry for my parents who used to have to listen to me watch this film every day as a kid, constantly quote it and then name all my toys ‘Steve’. This film was my life
Honestly the soundtrack had no right sounding as good as it did. That shit was fire. Duh duh nuh nuh, duh duh nuh nuh, duh duh nuh nuh, duh DUH DUH DUH!!!
This is the movie that made me realize I wanted to pursue animation.I can't describe it, but this movie inspired me to overcome failure more than once. I should add that your videos have inspired me as well. They remind me of all the reasons I love animated media. Thank you Nick.
I enjoyed this film as a kid, I'd watch it over and over, and I would not get tired of it. It was one of my defining childhood movies! And now, I still love it to this day. And those memes of the movie, revived those memories.
I'll be honest, I was getting worried. I missed your videos as I slowly noticed them fading from my recommendations. I started rewatching older videos to help fill the void that appeared with your departure, and it worked for a while. When I saw a new video posted, a goofy grin plastered itself across my face, for I knew you had returned, and with nothing less than another masterfully crafted film analysis. Whatever strife you have been facing, just know that we are all here to help you overcome it. Good to have you back, Nick, we are all proud of you.
I think the reason why my childhood self loves this movie so much is that I really like the idea of living on food? idk just imagine sleeping on a giant bread or swimming in soda, and sitting on a jelly chair or something, it's weird I know, but it feels like a dream to my inner child self lol
Hey Nick! Doubt you'll actually see this but imma spill anyways. One day I wanna create a film that you'll see, at the moment it's just me and my best friend working on a vision I've had since middle school but it's a project that I hope to never give up on because I alredy did too many times. Much love your way
DUDE. DUDE. DUDE. I FEEL THE EXACT. SAME. FUCKING. WAY. About this film. I was in Middle School so when i saw this film, my obsession skyrocketed to the point where I joined this can made website dedicated to this film. The fandom back then felt so small you basically knew everyone. Its nice seeing videos about how good this movie is. It needs to be remembered.
Honestly Nick, I always love your content. It's always so hopeful and it makes me want to go out there and do something great. Your content always brings a smile to my face, and I can't put it into words just how much your content means to me. Keep making videos man, you got this!
Until now, I never realized the reverse trope they pull with Sam. Usually the girl lets her hair down and takes off her glasses to make the other characters see she’s actually hot, but in this Flint puts her hair up and puts her glasses on. Sam did a lot just to make it as a reporter, even sacrificing 20/20 vision just to appear attractive on TV and be somewhat successful.
Hey Nick, I know that ‘The Mitchell’s vs the Machines’ is a masterpiece but would really appreciate a 15 minute video of you telling me why it is. Thank you xxxx
13:59 Don’t worry Nick, your videos are worth it. At least to me, in this one video you: made me realize how many amazing projects Lord and Miller made, realize the importance of the relationship between directors and the studios behind movies, inspired me to continue working on this animation project that’s been taking forever (even if turns out to ‘fail’ because I can still learn), and remember that even content creators with large followings, like you, still have the same doubts as me. At the very least you have entertained and there is value in that. Your videos are worth it.
To be honest, Your videos inspire me to continue to make my dream show and to keep going if I fail, I fail. When you talk about these movies, the way you make jokes about them, the way you list their goods and bads, it really truely does bring pure joy to me and I hope that you won't stop making these video. Sincerely, a subcriber
I'm actually really glad that this movie was/is really special to other people than just me. I always loved this movie more than a lot of others that I saw at the same time, but I could never really explain it. Thanks for this
Yeah I loved this movie so much as a kid and my parents loved it too, one of the few movies I had on DVD and watched so many times. I actually just realised that a story I want to tell some day probably as a comic (I’m a graphic design student) has similar themes so turns out it has impacted me more than I knew.
That intro...I truly felt that. One of the things I do a whole lot is make ideas for video games, movies, and other entertainment media. But literally later in the day, I have these doubts, like these ideas will never get to see the light of day that would be reality. They would stay as...ideas. So thanks, for reminding me that I'm not the only one who goes through this. Even a main protagonist in a movie, (that lived in my childhood), goes through doubt too. But we all get through it, even Flint Lockwood.
The last part of the video made me cry. I’ve watched only a few of your videos, and the way you explain these movies are so in depth and detailed. This is great. I needed this. I’m glad I found this channel
Finally, someone who appriciates this movie for what it is. A movie that has really good meaning behind it, that just because people doubt you doesn't mean you should just give up, even if it is just a kids movie.

Nick this honestly probably your greatest video yet, the amount of motivation i gained from this is insane. I know your not gonna see this, but thank you for all the content you make.
I see your a Gorillaz fan, my friend is a fan of Gorillaz
I had a crisis while at school and had a huge talk with my teacher about how my entire life I always thought I was predestined for failure; then I watched this video and it made me realize failure is okay as long as you aren't complacent with it. I really needed this.
Love this
This was one of those movies I didn’t really LOVE as a kid, but the more I watched it as a teenager and now as an adult the more I realize the Masterpiece this is.

We’re all Flint at heart. This movie is actually very motivational, and Nick’s speech at the end is really inspirational 😊.

DUDE. DUDE.
Aw I remember this movie when I was 4. I wasn’t even a kid yet, it was such a distant memory.
The nostalgia for this movie is real 😔
Hey Nick,
I know that ‘The Mitchell’s vs the Machines’ is a masterpiece but would really appreciate a 15 minute video of you telling me why it is.
Thank you xxxx
Half of the scenes in that movie look and sound amazing and the rest is hot garbage
I really wasn't a fan of the movie. It's weird to me how positive most reviews on it are
You can check out Schaffrilas for that xx
@Julian CastroUrsini It was above average, not what I would call a masterpiece, but an enjoyable watch nonetheless
To be honest,
Your videos inspire me to continue to make my dream show and to keep going if I fail, I fail.
When you talk about these movies, the way you make jokes about them, the way you list their goods and bads, it really truely does bring pure joy to me and I hope that you won't stop making these video.
Sincerely,
a subcriber
OMG finally this movie is a masterpiece nobody talks about!
Flint: *talks to reporter lady on dock*
Sky: Ham Burger, Cheese Burger, Big Mac Whopper.
Coraline, 9, and Cloudy were all released in 2009. A year for such banger animated movies.
