    they put that there so they wont get sued when someone complains there is no gel in the shoe.

      You really don't need much gel for it to work. If they put in as much gel as the average person imagines is necessary the shoe would be too heavy to run in. Try one on, you'll see the difference between gel and foam. Their $70 gel shoes are better than the $130 crap I was buying from Nike when I consistently had shin splints and stress fractures. They have an entire facility dedicated to testing these shoes, they know more about the shoes than some dude with a knife and random YT commenters.

      @@tammyandthetrex I've been suffering from shin pains for a looong time. I've tried different running methods & exercises to get over it but nothings seems to be much effective. Also, I've been thinking about changing the shoes.
      Is the Asics shoe capable of absorbing the shock while running? Can it help in the shin splint factor?
      As you've mentioned about having shin pains yourself, kindly enlighten this poor fella regarding this matter. ❤️

    For all of you who complaining about that little piece of gel. As you know these shoes designed for running. That little piece of gel protects your joints because those little piece of gel can reduce most of the shock when your hill touch the ground. I saw i experiment(independent) a guy did cut the gel out of the shoe and dropped an egg on it from 30 cm. The egg did not cracked as the gel reduced the shock. So yes they called gel shoes not because the whole shoe made of gel. It has a purpose and according my experience they do their job

    Thanks for the video 👍 it's worth noting that if you have shoes for running that are not quite comfortable enough , you can improve them by putting gel pads in them, I've done this to several of my running shoes, they're only about £7 for two sets so worth it 👍

    Back in nineties and 00s GEL was an integral part of the midsole and did play considerable role in reducing the impact. However, foam tech has dramatically improved over the past 20 years, which is why Asics started their campaign of gradually phasing it out by bringing new GEL-free models to the table. Whole RIDE and BLAST series as well as racing options. They don't have GEL purely because the tech is obsolete. Modern foams are far more efficient than gel in every aspect. GEL models have solid following, so Asics can't just stop producing them. Instead, they do it gradually and rightfully so. In particular, Novablast has proven to be a huge success in both impact absorption and energy return. We're yet to see Asics move on. They have gained good momentum, so it may not be too far.

    • @parrotbrand2782
      @parrotbrand2782 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Fully agree. Gel is no longer necessary with newer light and responsive foams. Gel is more a marketing gimmick nowadays. They put just a miniscule and insignificant amount just to justify the labelling of "gel". Gel is totally unnecessary nowadays with new foam materials.
