    Wow! Contents like these are rarest of gems. Don't know how to express but there were so many important points covered in this review that helped me say "Yes, I want to go for this". A great bike and an equally great video on it.

    Boss, take a bow! I have been following a lot of reviews for a while now however almost all of them have been biased and not practical enough! Your review seems to be one of the most practical one and I loved it!

    Feeling jealous as a continental GT 650 owner i feel Those USD forks were needed more in Conti as compared to a cruiser , that switchgear looks very premium too! , Those blacked out engine parts tho 😍

      Currently fence sitting for the GT 650, will buy it once the bike gets alloy wheels and that lovely half fairing spotted recently.

      @@deepakwilliams7894 ugly to you maybe , i find my GT very good looking as i liked cafe racers from childhood (that's why i bought it in the first place), and i think upswept exhaust looks unique as it adds to the look , down-swept exhaust has no problem but you'll be offended when people call your 4 lakh bike a "jawa" , never liked cruisers for look , liked cruisers for comfort

      I own a gt too its been 4 years ...still the design draws attention. it is timeless. Provided how shiny we keep our bikes. Cruiser are unclish and lazy looking. Cafe racers a class apart.

    Thanks a lot for the detailed narration.
    What I could gather out of the whole video is that:
    1. You need Volini spray for your backbone and bums. Also some more balms and boroline for your bums.
    An Orthopaedic friend or neighbour shall become very much wanted sooner than later.
    2. You gotta visit a gym regularly not only to strengthen your body and muscles not to forget about your left wrist and palm and fingers to do justice for the clutch lever.
    3. It is better to start looking for a Honda cruiser of about 400-450 cc even if it costs another 50 to 100 grands more.
    Once again thank you bro for your truthful evaluation 👍👏🙏

    Oye hoye!! Isse kehtein hain 'REVIEW'! Simple, yet Excellent video bhai! 👌
    I've watched every video of SM650 on all platforms since the spy shots came long ago. I watch all the videos that get uploaded each day. Few of them are good, but this is what a real review of a bike should be like. Very nicely explained and demonstrated all scenarios (as per the title). I had booked my bike on the launch day itself. It's great to learn so much from videos like this.🙏
    Definitely subscribing, liking and sharing this.
    Please make more videos on this bike whenever you get more ideas.
    Happy, safe and enjoyable rides. Cheers.❤

    I want to praise the OP as there are plaque of videos on TH-cam stating how good the bike is on Highway or touring but very few regarding urban riding. This is even though 90% of the time the bike will be ridden in cities and mostly in bumper to bumper traffic.

      Did you take test drive in city traffic?
      Asking because RE is saying gearing is different in this new bike
      And my continental GT 650 just hates being ridden slow in city traffic as i constantly have to pull that hard clutch as even at Idle RPMs in first gear it moves too fast for the traffic

    About the rear suspension, I read that it has 5 levels of adjustment, so the stiffness shouldn't be a problem.

    I really liked the review, just have one question. How much mileage you are getting in city and highway? I am planning to buy this since I have thunderbird 500 but I wasn't sure if it's a good daily commuting bike.

    • @SHIFTINGGEARScom
      @SHIFTINGGEARScom  ปีที่แล้ว

  • @shettyviren
    @shettyviren ปีที่แล้ว

    Brother where you are riding is thane and roads are very good as it is highway and speedbreakers are wide and flat.... I suggest you go to insides of city in gullies and roads where speedbreakers are bigger so we will get a better idea

    • @SHIFTINGGEARScom
      @SHIFTINGGEARScom  ปีที่แล้ว

      I went riding from Worli to BKC via Prabhadevi, then Thane.
      Then from Thane to Belapur, and back.
      Then Thane to Charoti, and back.
      Then within Thane for a day.
      Then Thane to Worli again.
      So we’ve tested this extensively. But if you want us to say that the ground clearance is a big problem, then we can’t do that.

    I'm planning to go for the Celestial variant of the SM650. 6ft 4 inch ke patle bande ke liye city commute kaisa rahega? Maine suna hai rear suspension kaafi hard hai isme.
    Main 2017 KTM RC390 use karta hoon office commute ke liye. Agar uske rear suspension jitna hard bhi raha to I'm happy with that.

    • @SHIFTINGGEARScom
      @SHIFTINGGEARScom  ปีที่แล้ว

      The overall riding experience is very different.
      On the RC, you lean ahead, so your back does not take all the hit. The hit is absorbed by multiple points / joints.
      On a cruiser format, your back and bottom will face it all.
      Try taking a test ride over a broken patch of road, then decide.

    • @siddharthpan1
      @siddharthpan1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SHIFTINGGEARScom Fair point. I had not thought of it from that perspective. I think only a test ride (or rather a couple of test rides) would be able to clear this issue.
      Thank you so much. As always, fantastic video.

  • @ssdravidian
    @ssdravidian ปีที่แล้ว

    The stiff suspension is directly reflecting in your involuntary shaky voice....not a deal breaker, but yes a point to consider. I just took a test ride and those rumble strips really hit you....I guess you need to change your expectations, riding style and mentality when riding a cruiser, and not ride it like a smaller Street bike.

    • @SHIFTINGGEARScom
