To not talk shit about the other guys in the band is proof that this man has integrity.

I also like Radiohead but I love the Verve. To me and many others Radiohead is too detached, beautiful but not completely front and center present in your heart. Does this make sense? Even today as I was driving on the freeway going to buy vegetables to plant in my garden, I was blasting Northern Soul, to me their best album - especially tracks 3,4, 7 and 8 - and all the rest. I grew up as a kid in the 80's listening to my brother sing pink floyds the wall or dark side or wish you were here in the other room as I changed into sweatpants to go play outside kickball and handball...and sometimes I just heard him....but I fell in love with Pink Floyd and there is no better band, other than perhaps dead can dance or bathory...or....well I can't go on but Verve is unreal and Richard is also unreal solo - that voice and the lyrics and the emotion are very real and grounding in this day and age of post modern nasty shit.
