Bush Hog, Rhino, Woods. Top 3 brands. I own a Bush Hog BH15. It’s a medium duty rotary cutter, according to Bush Hog, but it’s heavy built.
They don’t make the BH15 anymore. The BH215 took it’s place and is heavy duty.
1 rule of thumb: ALWAYS buy a beefy rotary cutter and a beefy grader box/box blade!
    Good video! 👍🏻

My King Kutter is 13 years old and maintains 1200+ acres for hunting as well as my farm. It's had several tailwheels....multiple stump jumpers....deck welded several times....bottom skids replaced....thrown a blade through the side. Keeps my welder busy. Just part of the game....if you extreme hogging, you're gonna be fixing!!

This was helpful. I have about 15 acres to mow. It was 3 ft tall and my zero turn mower did a good job much quicker than your tractor/mower. Consider a bat wing 10 ft maybe and cut more often. The time saved will be enormous and you have already made it mower safe.

The only thing that can be cut with a mower right now is by the barn. That got cleared out with my box blade.

The rest is full of holes ditches, and junk. Someday it will be a all done and I will knock out those 6 acres with a zero turn.

All modern cutters suck!! About 90% of what’s on the market are price point designed and super lite in materials. If you are just cutting grass and it’s not too tall they do fine, but if you are off out in the soup actually clearing overgrown ground they won’t work and you WILL tear them up. Your issue is that you are captive to your tractor HP and really can’t go heavier or more robust with an actual heavy duty cutter nor go faster. I own everything from a 2615 legend that is 15’ wide all the way down to a Woods Brush Bull Xtreme 5’ cutter. But my favorite cutter/tractor set up is…. A 75hp 4WD open station tractor that weighs 8,300 lbs + a bush hog brand model 406 cutter that weighs in at 1600lbs and is constructed out of 1/4” steel sides and deck, it’s a 6’ width. It will literally cut anything up to 5-6” dia all day with continued use. These were designed to clear power line right of ways and basically are indestructible. They haven’t made these in years but I found one finally because I was tired of always fixing the cheap stuff. I know it’s frustrating not to be able to go faster that 2mph thru heavy brush hp + tractor weight is the only answer for that.
