Visited this amazing city last Friday, and hope to visit again in the near future. I would also highly reccomend visiting St Anne's church, it's got lots of history and the architecture is breathtaking!
Daniel, Thanks so much, top tip. I think we will return to Augsburg one day, because we loved it too. Wonderful place, and wonderful people - such fond memories. I bet it looked fabulous in the run-up to Christmas. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and leave a comment, Happy and safe travels, Gary & Janis
Hi Ralph, I hope you had a fabulous time. It's a great city, and we found the people so friendly; we just loved exploring. I was just thinking about the Augsburg yesterday as we sat on our patio with a couple of cold beers on beer mats from a bar in the city. Such good memories, hope you create some for yourself. Happy and safe travels, Gary & Janis
This seems to be a very charming city, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
🤞 my friend - it's a wonderful place. We're looking forward to travelling again, hopefully our first international travel will be in a couple of weeks to the North of Germany - watch this space 😍
Hi Trevor, thanks very much for the feedback, from next Friday I'll boost my audio, and reduce the background to get a better balance. I'm trying to improve week by week the production, all I now need to do is choose next Friday's topic 😀
I was stationed in Augsburg in the mid 2970’s. Wish we had had the opportunity to get this kind of exposure to Augsburg. As it was we were really not encouraged to “wander” around. 😐
David, how interesting, who were you serving with? The great news is when covid is contained, there's always a chance you could revist, it's a lovely charming place 😍 Anyway, stay safe, stay well - cheers, Gary
I guess it's a big change. Europes so different from the US - I can drive from our home in the UK, travel through 5 countries & have a late lunch, (UK, France, Belgium, Netherland & Germany), time & distances are very different when travelling through the US. Anyway, Stay Safe, Stay Well. Cheers
Warum es is so schwer zu hoeren? Bitte mehr laude! ANOTHER major 'Burg' I frequently passed through on my way to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Bundes Strasse 25 out of Dinklesbuhle through Ellwangen, Nordlingen to catch 'B17' South out of Augsburg to Schongau und so weiter! Admittedly I didn't spend a lot of time here, as the roads then (1970s thru early 80s) were full of traffic to near the point of 'congestion'.. None the less it would be a good place to stop and 'discover'!
We're getting deep into Bavaria now. We had a great time in Augsburg. friendly people again. We have a few nights in Füssen a few years back on our 'Lakes & Lederhousen' road trip through the north of Italy, up through Austria, into Germany before returning home. Great times.
Great video footage. Please give people advice to first do a paid Tourist walk by the central information. Very cheap. My families history goes back there to 1400s.
🙏 Thanks so much - we're always trying to improve with the video, so 🤞 when we travel again it'll be even better. I think a tour is a great idea, and with a heritage dating back that far, it'll be amazing to explore the history. It's a wonderful city. Stay safe, stay well and here's to a better 2021

You've persuaded me to visit Augsburg
Bert, that's such news. It's a wonderful city, and we had a great time there, which created lasting memories. We hope you have fun.

Very nice tour of a pretty medium size city that my 22 yo daughter will certainly visit post Covid 2022 we hope.
🙏 Thank you, it's a beautiful place - I hope your daughter does get to visit it. Stay safe, stay well 😍
Very much enjoying your wonderful videos....the only thing I would say though is the voice over audio is often difficult to hear which is a shame.

Lee, was that a US forces base? We found the place so nice, and as you said , really friendly people.
@@OurWorldForYou yes, a U.S. Army Base 1/26 1st lnfantry Division. I almost stayed in Germany, but my Wife was against the idea.

@@OurWorldForYou Surveyed all around that area (zwischen Fussen und Memmingen, Kempten und der nahe) Yes, they are the nicest people
