Do coyotes present an issue for livestock or other wildlife in South Dakota? In Indiana people usually thin them out around farms but otherwise leave them alone. Very few people around here keep the furs (although I have one on my bedroom wall). I guess, what are the reasons for hunting them like this? And do people do anything with the bodies or fur?
Over populations of coyotes are a serious problem in wiping out prey animals esp fawns to then spread into urban areas where the only prey are pets, livestock and eventually children...! Realize they are killers for a living and must do so to whatever they can find to kill or starve to death...! Prey animals are limited and can be decimated as the yotes over populate...!
