While there were no viking artifacts found near the coin, were there any later European artifacts found around it either? Since we know that vikings were exploring areas within a few hundred miles of the location where the coin was found, it is fairly likely that vikings had explored that area, and possibly didn't stay for long. Perhaps they dropped the coin as they were passing through? Maybe there is a site not far from there where there are viking artifacts still waiting to be discovered

@@zemerick Interesting theory but I still disagree with the assumption that anything compromising the use of simple motor skills was not easily within DaVinci's skill set.
@@jeffdriscoll6096 That's not what is being said though. It's not a binary yes or no as to could he engrave, it's about the skill level. In other words, Da Vinci could have been quite good, but the engravings on the egg were just done by someone even better. Considering what it is, it would stand to reason that they would have used a world class engraver. Also, keep in mind that AFAIK there are absolutely no known engravings done by Leonardo. It seems quite likely he would have dabbled in it to some degree, but it must have been quite rare and not up to his normal standards for this to be the case. Especially with the relative durability of most engravings versus say paintings. That would mean he had little practice to fine-tune the details, and learn the tricks of the trade, which would separate him from a master of the art. They're also not saying that he definitely didn't do it, just that it probably wasn't him. It's often exceedingly difficult to prove a negative, but that does not mean that the inverse is proven. There are thousands, if not tens of thousands, of potential artists of the era and location that equally could have done it, many of which would be much more likely as it would have fallen more into their area of expertise.
2:04 Artists often use relative SIZE to draw attention to the subject of their painting .. not necessarily indicating the ACTUAL relative size of the subject

Islamic God Allah? Allah means God in Arabic. It is the same God that created all of us and everything that exists. Muslims don't have a different God. Jesus spoke Aramaic, and God is called Ellah in Aramaic. Moses spoke Hebrew, and he called God Elohim. 'God' is English. None of the prophets we hear of spoke English, so they all had different names for God. Please don't spread misinformation; Muslims don't worship a different God. And Muslims mean “those who submit to the Will of God.” So anyone who worships God and believes in only one God, who has no partners, and does righteous deeds is a Muslim. Because you are doing what God commands. The word Muslim is just an Arabic word. But the above is it’s meaning. It's just an Arabic word (Muslim). So let's not let languages make us assume otherwise. Thank you.
There have been Viking artifacts discovered on Nova Scotia, so a coin ending up in Maine is not unusual. The book called The Eaters of the Dead (made into the movie "The 13th Warrior) was based off of the memoirs of a Muslim man who lived and fought with the Vikings, so there was a relationship between the two cultures.
Wow. I was born in Słupsk and lived there for over 20 years, but never even heard of The Forbidden Gummybear ;) Thanks a lot. I have to dig into some history then.
1:43 The word written next to the "dinosaur" says something like "crocodilian" or something like that, in Greek... So, I guess that the artist either wasn't so skilled or he never saw a crocodilian and made it based on descriptions of other people. No mystery here...
It's actually been known the earth was round for a couple thousand years. The ancient Greeks not only learned the earth was round but even calculated it's approximate size (even if Greek philosophers didn't like the idea). The idea people dismissed Columbus because they thought the earth was flat is a longstanding myth: the real reason was they knew roughly how big it was and knew reaching the east by sailing west would take longer than sailing around Africa.
What good thing to do, and i am glad to hear that kind hearts still exist, .. i am just mentioning this, because not everyone knows, because i didn't always knew this ,....... but the chances that the mom would continue to take care of the baby, after an egg of bird have been touched, ...is always non existent, and sadly the weakest bird gets kicked out, .. i am happy you did help the baby bird, .. i grew up seeing my parents taking care and raising all kinds of birds
A bird wouldn't kick out a baby bird that had human scent on it. It's a wide misconception. Birds have a terrible sense of smell. Just like how bats can see better then humans and an elephant's footsteps are really quiet.
The LEGO company made a working copy of the antikethyra mechanism in 2014, i think, to predict the next solar eclipse. After 80+ days of building this mechanism, the time predicted on it was 8th of april 2024, a solar eclipse that lasted 6 minutes
@1:40 The world next to the "dinosaur" says Krokodilopardalis in Greek letters. This would roughly mean crocodile-leopard. It's a mythical creature like a griffin or pegasus. Another one, maybe better known is Camelopardalis (camel-leopard), which is a star constellation...... Either way, not a dinosaur. Greek had words for lizzards and reptiles and would surely use them if the animal looked like it....
3:55 the earth has been known to be round for more than 3000 years, the ancient Greeks calculated the size of the earth with insane accuracy. The reason Columbus thought he could reach Asia was because he didn't believe the Greeks and thought the earth was much smaller

No evidence you say? What about the artistic representation of the death of king Saul of Israel?
No way bro I’m from Algeria 🇩🇿 and I did not know that 2:17

0:22 ... The fedora is a classic hat style that was popularized by Sarah Bernhardt in the 1883 play Fedora. The hat became a symbol of adventure and timeless style after Indiana Jones first wore it in Raiders of the Lost Ark. The hat is made of soft felt and has a large brim. It's designed to be flexible, foldable, and waterproof
Also worn by the "discoverer" of Machu Pichu, but with a double brim.
A part 2 would be great
Islamic God Allah?
Allah means God in Arabic. It is the same God that created all of us and everything that exists.
Muslims don't have a different God.
Jesus spoke Aramaic, and God is called Ellah in Aramaic.
Moses spoke Hebrew, and he called God Elohim.
'God' is English.
None of the prophets we hear of spoke English, so they all had different names for God.
Please don't spread misinformation; Muslims don't worship a different God.
And Muslims mean “those who submit to the Will of God.”
So anyone who worships God and believes in only one God, who has no partners, and does righteous deeds is a Muslim. Because you are doing what God commands.
The word Muslim is just an Arabic word. But the above is it’s meaning.
It's just an Arabic word (Muslim).
So let's not let languages make us assume otherwise.
Thank you.
Good stories along with a good bit of humor
lol, we’ve only been here for 100,000 years at most, and the dinosaurs went extinct during the renaissance/reformation period.
I love this guy
10:27 King Olaf 🗣🔥
This is interesting information, observe and learn
There have been Viking artifacts discovered on Nova Scotia, so a coin ending up in Maine is not unusual. The book called The Eaters of the Dead (made into the movie "The 13th Warrior) was based off of the memoirs of a Muslim man who lived and fought with the Vikings, so there was a relationship between the two cultures.
Wow. I was born in Słupsk and lived there for over 20 years, but never even heard of The Forbidden Gummybear ;) Thanks a lot. I have to dig into some history then.
14:35 I thought this was a sponsor💀💀💀
1:43 The word written next to the "dinosaur" says something like "crocodilian" or something like that, in Greek... So, I guess that the artist either wasn't so skilled or he never saw a crocodilian and made it based on descriptions of other people. No mystery here...
Your voice is so relaxing and I can fall asleep to it if I'm tired enough
The bear amulet and the something mechanism were my faves.
27:24 “ could it run Mario kart?” XD
Lol
It's actually been known the earth was round for a couple thousand years. The ancient Greeks not only learned the earth was round but even calculated it's approximate size (even if Greek philosophers didn't like the idea). The idea people dismissed Columbus because they thought the earth was flat is a longstanding myth: the real reason was they knew roughly how big it was and knew reaching the east by sailing west would take longer than sailing around Africa.
Best topic 👍in my opinion of course
I love your videos 😊
Perhaps that second part was once much taller and used as fort/tower to keep an eye out for enemies.
The LEGO company made a working copy of the antikethyra mechanism in 2014, i think, to predict the next solar eclipse. After 80+ days of building this mechanism, the time predicted on it was 8th of april 2024, a solar eclipse that lasted 6 minutes

LETS A FISHING GOOOOOOO
@1:40 The world next to the "dinosaur" says Krokodilopardalis in Greek letters.
This would roughly mean crocodile-leopard. It's a mythical creature like a griffin or pegasus. Another one, maybe better known is Camelopardalis (camel-leopard), which is a star constellation......
Either way, not a dinosaur. Greek had words for lizzards and reptiles and would surely use them if the animal looked like it....
The Spinning coin at 10:07 looks like you just found some treasure from uncharted! Love the reference (if it is one)
1:17 we gonna ignore the dude at the top with a bow fighting a t-rex and pterodactyls
3:55 the earth has been known to be round for more than 3000 years, the ancient Greeks calculated the size of the earth with insane accuracy. The reason Columbus thought he could reach Asia was because he didn't believe the Greeks and thought the earth was much smaller
This commentator is really entertaining.
