- We are taking a break from our huge little house renovation to take Andrew on his senior trip before he leaves in a couple months! On our first day in England we visit Jane Austen's house, Harry Potter sights in Oxford, and more!

Loved this video …we were posted to England( Cotswold area) for a year and I fell in love with it…did horse back riding down Puddleduck lane , cream teas …beautiful countryside and we had the best weather they had experienced in 100 years…cried when I left. Have a wonderful trip!
Dining at Oxford felt like such a Harry Potter moment.

We lived in Hertfordshire for the years and are now visiting after two years away. We love it here! Everything looks so picturesque and lovely. We love all the public footpaths as well. *Sigh*
Andrew, our family 1st fell in love with you when your mom made the month of pies. We looked forward how you expressed how the texture and taste of the pies were. We think you are very astute for we know for sure that you will make the best of everything you touch a success. Stay as kind and beautiful as your loving parents brought you up. If I remember correctly the place you ate in at Oxford was what the original great hall in the Harry Potter series was used during some filming before they created it in the studio buildings. They used a number of places at Oxford to film and create the different areas of Hogwarts.
Jane Austen’s home isn’t far from where I grew up and I didn’t even know! It looks amazing. And what a treat to be shown round Oxford University! Enjoy England. It’s an amazing place with wonderful people and incredible history. Love that you guys love it there! It’s great to see the place through fresh eyes! 🇬🇧🇬🇧
You`ll maybe think I`m crazy, but I was so choked up watching Andrew`s reactions, what an absolutely wonderful tailor-made trip for him! Also, being able to dine in Balliol college at Oxford is pretty special! This is my favourite of the graduation trips you`ve done! So happy for him to be able to do this, you`re amazing parents!

I remember when your family lived in England for those many months and so glad to see that Andrew wanted to go back. I dont blame him at all. England is absolutely beautiful. The buildings structures are very beautiful and the history that comes with them. Only if walls could talk.

It's nice to see that both got a break and were able to relax a bit, but I honestly can't wait for the home renovation videos to start again. I live in the UK and was really hoping that I would maybe bump into you, sadly I was looking in the wrong places. I love seeing the progress of the house and get so excited to get a notification. I remember when the house was first brought and to see how much it's changed is so beautiful. I wish you all the best and can't wait for your next video.

The opening was hilarious. We went to England when I was about 12 to pick up one of my older brothers from his mission. Before we picked him up, my dad drove and scraped the stuffed of the car when the bushes🤣🤣🤣🤣. So glad when my brother took over.

I love old old villages, all the quaint old stone cottages, Churches and village life, there are thousands of these in the UK, I do feel very lucky to live here… enjoy your visit .. think the weather (for a change) has been playing nice this past week

Love this trip. I did the exact trip with my mother twice. We traveled all over the uk to wherever a jane austen movie was filmed.

This was such a wonderful video! Andrew, I am in love with Jane Austen too. "Persuasion" is my favorite novel and the movie version with Amanda Root is my favorite movie of all time. Was so excited to see her house and the neighboring church. I have never been. How lucky you all were to eat at the dining hall at Balliol. Thank you so much for taking us along. @@KnorppandSouth11 , BEWARE because in the last video I saw ( last day in the UK ) you mentioned that you had bought a recipe book for home , now I know you're a cleaver lot but just in case I thought I'd let you know that measurements ( gallons , weights etc ) are not the same in the USA , the British ones are bigger , lots of Americans buy scales as the books tend not to use cups for cooking as well and the book maybe using British measurements so check it out , before doing something special do a test run like a 1/2 a pie etc etc etc, also don't forget that sugar content is reduced in the UK and a lot of chemicals ( American flavors , preservatives etc etc etc are banned in the UK and Europe ) hence the different tastes .
Don't forget to do the odd small test run as the only thing worse than grown man cry because his Sticky Toffee Pudding isn't the same is two growing men crying 😂😂

I agree. So many tourists film their sojourns and post the footage with quite incongruent `music.` The choice made here was perfect. It reminded me of the intro music accompanying Carl Sagan`s series from the 1970`s " Cosmos."

Oh MY GOSH!!! I know the Barclays too!! We all were on BYU-I’s British Literary Tour at the same time, and I went with them one day to find the Peter Pan Sculpture in Kensington Gardens during it! They are such great people!! Totally makes my day to see all of you guys in this video!!!

I drive on both sides as I got my license in America and New Zealand. I never think twice about it when I'm in different countries. Your American humour really shows in this video. Never noticed it before. ❤ took me 6 hours of driving to feel comfortable to drive on the other side. Hope one of the kids choose to go to New Zealand; it's super pretty.
