From the first hour after watching this accident I posted 2 big mistakes were done thats why this accident happened 1LETTING BOTH TUGS CASTE OFF. 2 GIVING FULL ASTERN AS THE SHIP WAS ALEADY WAS UNDERWAY EVEN THE BLACKOUT HAPPENED THE WAKE OF 8 KNOTS WOULD HAVE STEERWAY . THIS STERN COMMAND WHICH MADE THE STERN OF DALI MOVED TOWARDS PORT N HEAD TO STARBOARD. . Then the anchor was dropped it dragged in SW DIRECTION . The first black out happened the dali head was 4000 ft away from the bridge column. N the ship was following the channel course . I cannot challenge the judgment of the pilot it was night time . If it were day time it could had been a better n different command by the pilot. And I do not know how experienced was the pilot. The end is bad luck for the pilots . Captain n crew . . I have read mv dali had some issues with these kind blackouts before also . But the 2 main decisions by the commands of mv dali are 80% in shaping this disaster of the bridge in Baltimore.
