Good one Ms. B =) Fact, Paul wrote this song for his mother named Mary. She passed away when he was just 14 years old.John's mom also died when he was still in his teens(17). I do believe that gave them a strong bond together, when they were still young guys, "The Quarrymen" when they were starting out. Peace!
I just came across this video and started to play along, I found that your strumming method is very easy to follow. I am still having a few hitches with only one or two chord transitions, but I am getting there. I just bought my first ukulele yesterday. It is a Diamond Head du 105 and has strings that look plastic, but at least when I play along here I manage to get a real song out of it. I had to pray to Mother Mary about my music skills, think she is helping me.

I know I have to keep practicing, I have nailed to chords but struggle to keep up with you. The only way I can is to slow down the clip, but still only just keep up. I've been learning ukulele since the containment, and been using many of yours videos. It's very satisfaying to learn quickly how to play nice easy songs, you definelly know how to make it straight to the point ! You're clearly the best ukulele teacher on youtube to me ! Also, you should be put in jail for steeling whole the cuteness of the world !
picked up my ukelele after a year (more time to practice during lockdown! 2020)and found the"Let it be" the best beginner to learn. I love the "Hallelujah" one as well although still finding "E" tricky to get from one chord to another. Practise makes perfect yeah! Jammin by bob marley is my challenge can you do that one . omg this was so helpful! ive had a ukulele for a couple months but I never really played it bc it was too hard to learn and practice music for school (all county and solofest for percussion) but this made it so easy! could you possibly do a p!atd song? That was a good one because I knew the song. I always wish a count was given for songs, a strumming pattern and the # of times to play each cord. This was ok because simple down strumming. Anything more complicated I need help with count, strum, # of times to play each cord. Good job on this one.
