The next actor playing Bond has some massive boots to fill after Daniel Craig.
Yeah he's been incredible,, definitely embodied what Bond was meant to be.
He was broken. He couldn't save Vesper, M, Mathis, or Felix. He couldn't save the people he would call family. But he got a second chance when he found Madeline and Mathilde. He was never afraid of death. Ever. But what he was afraid of was losing another person he cared about. The thoughts that went through his head before death arrived to him, was that everyone is safe now. That's all he wanted, for his family to be safe.

i've seen a lot of daniel craig era bond edits, but this is by far the best
Casting Daniel Craig as James Bond was a stroke of utter genius.
He IS James Bond, he has redefined the character so much that it's impossible to think of anybody else in the role.
But there WILL be somebody else - and they'll get a superb storyline over 5 movies. We're not going back to a "wink wink, nudge nudge, kiss kiss, bang bang" style of Roger Moorish/Austin Powers James Bond movie.
Who will be the next Bond?
Well - many famous names have been floated, and they're all wrong - mainly because of age.
You can't cast ANYONE over 35 years old - so Idris Elba (who must be pushing 70 by now) is out.
Tom Hardy? Terrific actor - but not sure he's right for Bond.
There MUST be an up and coming actor we've never heard of (hardly anybody had heard of Daniel Craig - hence the initial backlash to the best Bond in history) - someone with serious acting chops who is less than 35 years old.
As an unknown, they would jump at the chance to have their life/wealth transformed by being James Bond.
I'm sure such a person exists - they've always existed. Ask Daniel Craig.

It is so strange, we have never had a Bond lose his life in the past. Now, after the last Bond, I feel like I lost someone dear and close to me. I feel this emptiness, but then, maybe that was the cruel intention of the producers. It will be difficult for the next 007 to fill this one's shoes. We will see.

I'm 63 years old. I saw my first Bond film in the late 1960s. The one I loved most, I was a little older, was Diamonds are Forever, 1971. Those that followed. Lazenby, had much going for him, took bad advice, Roger Moore (I loved him), Dalton, before his time sadly, Pierce Brosnan, slick but not my style.
Then Daniel Craig showed up, had the piss taken by the evil British press, that's how they exist?
Then he made, shot, Bond films and everything changed. We saw, met, understood for the very first time who James Bond was. Beyond compare.
So, No Time to Die he DIED. He died. let it go. Put creative value before horrid dollars, he died, it's over. No one will EVER match Daniel Craig.

It was a shock a real shock that ending with Craig.
James never dies, but in this version he does. I was a hard one to swallow but in the end now a few years after looking back at it all I think this couldn't have ended better like it did.

What he became he had no choice. People survive in many different ways. This was his way. Never got to enjoy the family I think he always wanted the most tragically he was killed by the government he swore to defend without hesitation.

CRAIG---IMHO never looked like Bond or was "Bondesque". We were just hungry for more Bond films and accepted him. He looked to me...the first time i saw him as Bond...more like a villain's henchman. He didn't have that suave gentlemanly look with elegance. ANd his films....better written than the Brosnan films....but they strayed too much and did theyngs that should never have been done e.g. Bond naked sitting in a bottomless chair...then have his jewls smashed??? How was he supposed to continue on as Bond??? They did the unthinkable...took away his manhood...or a essentials...heh...something i'd expect to see in some random action film. NOT in a Bond film.
ANd his Bond films were missing too many key elements that made for a good Bond film e.g. Supermodels, villain lairs in a space station., lots of gadgets.....and they couldn't get a singer we knew...a "legend"....as they did for the Connery and Moore Bond films... HOpe they get it right with Bond 26

My oh my how Bond has changed . No longer the suave debonair spy , no longer the elegant man everybody wants to be , always has a light hearted comment , and one who oozes confidence . Edge of seat action packed pure family entertainment . And now this . Oh dear ! why is Bond trying to be a poor mans Jason Bourne ? why on Earth ?? is he trying to put Liam Neesoms shoes on ?? Brosnan was a better actor than those two put together , but Craig ....Honestly what were the producers thinking of ?? I found myself crying in my beer can watching this turkey and then I realised it wasnt entertainment and flipped the Live and Let Die cd on for the umpteenth fabulous time and realised immediately that Craig wasnt even in the same league as Moore for sheer action and thrills gadjets and stunts .
