  • A short walk from Nottingham city centre, you will find Victoria Embankment, a historical public area that was constructed between 1898 and 1901 with 10 miles of concrete steps, 7.5 miles of iron fencing and 150 seats.
This public area is a great place to go for a casual stroll, along the River Trent.
The suspension bridge was built in 1906 and was originally designed to carry a water supply to Wilford Hill reservoir.
Queen Victoria’s statue arrived in the memorial gardens at Victoria Embankment in 1953 after standing in the city centre’s Old Market Square since it’s unveiling in 1905.
The bandstand on the Victoria Embankment is a Grade-II listed building, and is used to host brass bands during the summer and is also used as a main stage for bands performing at the annual Riverside Festival.
