The difference between a trained makeup artist and a self taught beauty influencer is night and day, right down to tools they choose and how delicate they use them, the placement and application is so precise, the amount of product is always the minimum needed while accomplishing what you are after (pros always do light layers, let set before adding more to add coverage while allowing it to stay longer without melting off the face, always looking seamless and skinlike) They aren’t aggressive or abrasive for the person getting their makeup done, and the end product is timeless and elegant. It really is a form of art, no different than a painter or drawing portraits. It’s funny too because you can watch them do their makeup on themselves in a hurry and they will do it more like we do, where they just throw it on the face and a lot of their methods go right out the window, and it shows vs how they work on their clients and how their clients faces turn out.😂

As a frequent lash wearer. Tips on applying falsies. Do not curl lashes lol. Also apply mascara first, let dry then apply the lash. 😊

Absolutely wedding makeup vibe! Looks so good and pretty.
For corner lashes especially, do mascara first!!! Otherwise, the mascara wand won’t correctly reach that inner corner and you will get too much mascara on the false lash! Just a lil tip I have been doing for these 🫶🏽🤍

I tried this with mostly Nars products, don’t know if I maybe went a bit heavy because I feel like you can see the bronze, blush and highlight, rather than it melting into the skin? It still turned out really nice though and definitely keeping the highlight technique especially. Nars has a white shade which I feel like is a good dupe!

Something I notice all the time is that professional makeup artists go in with very fluffy brushes and are so delicate and always do very very light layers on clients (they don’t however always do this on themselves but do what most of us do) and WE regular folk always use these very dense kabuki style brushes and huge powder brushes that don’t allow you to target/ use proper placement and then complain our makeup turns out heavy or not as beautiful as the professionals😂

Alana, you look gorgeous, so stunning ! Do you have any idea where you got your earrings? I also love the DIOR products (I use the same primer but the natural Finnish foundation) and I was wearing them at my wedding 3 weeks ago. the other products were the DIOR bronzer and highlighter, Kjaer Weis lip products, ilia eye liner, (eye shadow, mascara und blush were German brands)That was the best choice I could make. It looked great throughout the whole day and the whole night. I'd call it natural and luxury glam and can really recommend it for a wedding ;)
