    Has anyone tried Incorporating Fenugreek Seeds in their hair care regimen? I'm also thinking of cutting my hair and starting a fresh new journey with healthy hair.

    Sheila you are a nice person. Good and you have a kind personality,. So don't worry about peoples's comments and don't blame them for doing so because we all see things very different from each other! Again when you chose to be on social media, there will be people who have negative and positive energy, focus on the positive and ignore the negative!! I loved your video but girl are you holding your camera stick while driving?? I had you commenting something to do with police somewhere.. here in the UK if you are caught your licence is taken away..on the other hand please don't as it takes just a second to cause an accident not worth it at all! Get one of those sticky dashboard gadgets then you can drive safely ... although its still, not safe enough as you may be destructed. Hope this is not a bad comment.

    • @SheilaNdindavideos

      I know my dear, I was risking everything while doing that. Already bought the gadget :-) Also thank you so much for this comment.

    These are suggestions:
    1. you can do protective styles for a while and slowly trim of the damaged part in bits.
    2. I would stay off using other products and stick to using only those you make yourself. At least, you know what's in it.
    3. Stay positive b/c your hair has feelings and knows when you are down...funny 😂 but true.
    4. Part your hair to sections according to damage and give some extra TLC to the damage section
    5. Lastly, I say, my sistah, it will be alright...I went through the same 2 years ago and it grew back so you'll be fine.
    Sorry for the long comment 😣

      Thank you for sharing these tips Kemi .This is exactly what I'm doing. Protective styles are about to become my new best friend. I agree, Stress has also played a huge role in this but it is well. We will bounce back soon :-)

    Hey Sheila, I experienced heat damage a while back and I knew I had to cut my hair. It's now healthy, long and strong. So don't be scared, just be bold and cut it. It will grow back 🖤🖤🖤

    I had a horrible case of shedding and fenugreek changed everything! I love it! I just bought a seed grinder to make a fenugreek gloss bar with the soaked seeds from my fenugreek water. My roots are thicker and I'm retaining length. Awesome video! Thanks for sharing!
    If you water smells spoiled use organic seeds and distilled water to soak. Do a small amount - 1 Tbsp seeds to 5ozs water and soak for 24hrs. Your water will be more translucent and it won't smell fermented.

    • @SheilaNdindavideos
      @SheilaNdindavideos  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the tip :-) And also fenugreek gloss bar ? How do you make that ?

    • @monniej58
      @monniej58 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sheila Ndinda I got the basic recipe from Curly Proverbs channel and tweaked it for myself because I have eczema. I melt down a bar on wash day and mix with my conditioner to make a deep treatment. So far I've made gloss bars with rose powder for moisture and henna powder for strength. My hair is finally getting thicker and retaining length with the fenugreek spray so i think a deep condition with it would be awesome!

    I've also really been struggling with my hair, and I thought after almost four years of being natural I'd have figured it out, but nope. So I just wanna let you know that although we look up to you and I'm sure you feel the pressure, you don't need to feel like a let down or like you've failed. We're all in the same struggle, and at least you're out here giving us hope. Keep doing you babe

    Aaww, don't take the negative comments ro heart love. Some people unfortunately don't understand what a hair journey means. Just like every journey isn't smooth, so is the hair journey. And even if you do go ahead and cut your hair...it will just be another part of your hair journey. One to be enjoyed come rain or sunshine. I hope your heart will find comfort in whatever you decide love. That's all that matters. P.S I love the hairstyle you rocked at the Heritage Chronicles. Mwah!

    Hi sheila.. I was also in that Dilemma with heat damage and I must admit your videos on healthy hair really helped me a lot plus it was annoying washing and having the strands of the damaged hair just cut off so easily so I did cut mine. 1 month now and I love it. Plus it grows.

    • @SheilaNdindavideos
      @SheilaNdindavideos  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've only trimmed once since the heat damage, will keep trimming the ends. Thanks for sharing and I'm glad your hair is now okay.

    You know your hair best, I’m confident you will do what’s best for you, sorry about the heat damage, it’s part of the journey. You are sooo beautiful and you have such a nice personality 😊. Haven’t used fenu greek yet. Must try it.

    I also battled with heat damage and it's possible for your hair to revert back with lots of TLC (it did for me). Fenugreek can also be used on the skin as a toner but i recommend that your refrigerate it; it lasts longer.

      Where can I get the fenugreek seed pilz

  • @shanycenjeri6658
    @shanycenjeri6658 6 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    Don't cut it.
    My hair was damaged, it took almost a year for it to revert but that's because I didn't know what to do
    A friend of mine had the same issue and she did frequent protein treatments and protective styling and it reverted in 4 or 5 months I think. I also did the same
    So you don't have to cut but you need to be patient with it, do your protein treatments and protective styling and you'll be good to go.
    Patience is key
    Sorry for the negativity though, people can be really mean but we love you still
    Keep shining!

    • @SheilaNdindavideos
      @SheilaNdindavideos  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much for this comment & for your support. I have slightly been trimming it so I will try and be patient for a few more weeks.

      Shanyce Njeri True. Had heat damage for years so it took over a year to get it healthy again. That's definitely a journey that needs a whole lot of patience and information, but it's possible. I guess cutting it is an option if umefika pale pa 'kuchokeshwa' na heat damage. Whatever Sheila decides, it's a journey that loyal subbies will be here for 😊😊

    Contrary to popular opinion, cut the hair.. Sometimes showing love to your hair entails cutting it. It grows back healthy..
    I had to do the same, my hair was seriously damaged from colouring it.. But trust me after cutting it was more manageable and I was happier

  • @beautifuldreamer8803
    @beautifuldreamer8803 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I had heat damage around 2013; I did alternate moisture deep conditioning and protein treatment for 6 months straight. I would trim my ends once a month and eventually the heat damage went away and I did not have to cut much or do the Big Chop again at that time.

    I have locs. I had a serious issue with stray hairs and shedding I made this water. Filter water 2 teaspoons next time I'll lesson the amount. Set it overnight 12hr drained and placed in spray bottle. This stuff is good. I smell like a maple tree but the scent dies down. I used it to rewet to retwist my new growth awesome stuff. Length to soon to tell I'm also using black seed oil. I do love the fenugreek water. Spray

    Do a bentonite clay treatment and then do henna treatments after. Fenugreek is awesome, so is aloe vera. I am sure there are lots of herbs where you are that you can use as well. Hibiscus, guava leaf, curry leaf, amla, soo many natural things you can use

    Hi Sheila, love your vlogs and videos. My 2 cents about cutting your hair, its all about you really, only you understand your hair, your journey and goals. You could either cut and start afresh or be patient and give its some TLC, try to tweak your regimen a bit and just give it time but at the end of it all, its just about what makes you happy.

    It’s absolutely ok to cut your hair for whatever reason - different style, emotional woes (happens to the best of us!) any type of damage, etc the amount of comments discouraging a hair cut/chop is worrying. Sheila it’s entirely upto you you’re the one that’s all up in your hair at any given time so you know best :-)

    I know I'm so late to this video but I got heat damage about a month ago, mostly the front as well. I wanted to do a big chop but I opted for a trim instead (about 1.5 inches) and I've been doing weekly protein treatments and tried a henna gloss as well. My hair is much stronger now. Wait it out if you can :) we're in this together!

    I’m also going through something similar, I’ve been going through my natural hair journey for the past two years and my hair has grown but it tends to get really dry and frizzy because I dyed it so I think i’m just going to cut it! Health for me comes before length, plus short hairstyles are cute :) I’d encourage you to go ahead and cut it tbh

    Those sunglasses at Hairitage are so cute!! And that hairstyle wacha tu :-) Quick question, how do you deal with a dry scalp? I need tips on how to take care of my hair when wearing wigs. Thanks!

      I think this should be my next video, hehe. What do you use to moisturize ? Since I work out every day, I like to refresh my scalp using a mix of water and ACV. This helps to break up the build up oils and I'm able to distribute this along my hair shaft. Take me through your routine ?

    • @maureenkihanya
      @maureenkihanya 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't really have a routine, I mix olive, castor and almond oil mixed with a little water and spray onto my scalp every other day. But when i braid and Im oiled at the salon my scalp gets super dry and itchy. Yeah please make that the next video :-)

    I never understood why people who are "sweet/sensitive/nice/considerate of other people's feeling" are looked down on. What a twisted world we live in. Keep being you.

    Hey Sheila. First ad like to say that i love your channel and how real you are. I have been a silent follower as many are, but todays blog has really hit home in so many areas. First is that you have a permanent job and this is using your other talents you have to grow yourself. Congratulations !!!!! Conquer all and be all you can be!!! Secondly the issue of either cutting or not cutting. I have hair that has not grown for over 3 years ans its frustrating because i have been on natural hair manenoz for sooooo long since 2010 but i can sincerely say i dint know how to take care of it until lately. anyhuuuu on the issue of cutting i think i am jot in a position of advising you ....you best know your self and at the end of the day...you are the best companion :-D however, onmy side i could do with a trim, i just dont have the gusto !!!! I would like some one that can walk with me in making my hair healthier and longer. Tell me what you think

    • @SheilaNdindavideos

      Thank you so much for commenting. Girl you need to create a regimen so that you make sure you stay on track with your hair goals. Having a good regimen and consistently following through will guide you in this journey.Trim it dear, you are better off having healthier hair than longer hair that is just weak.

      Thanks for the advice. I think that is one thing i have to keep consistent; Regimen. Will keep you on the loop of my progress. If you ever want to or consider doing a hair bootcamp thing.....i am willing to learn from you .....consider me number 1 :-D. Have a great weekend.

    I recently went natural and my hair type is 4A and I am also suffering coz I didnt cut off my hair so I dont know if I should also cut off the ends since my ends are so thin.
    Kindly advice.

      Cut the weak ends off. Transitioning can be tough because you are dealing with two hair textures. Show your hair some TLC and get rid of the relaxed ends.

    Sweetheart I believe you get more positive feedback than negative from insecure idlers. Don’t focus on them. P/s I love your hairitage style, and your hair is beautiful! Rock on 🤘

    Honey, you are gorgeous inside and out. Your personality seems so close to mine. I used to be very sensitive, still am to some degree but yeah I have learned to grow some bones like your friends say because people will throw you under the bus, especially if they know your weakness unfortunately not every body is like us out there in this social media day and age especially considering that you are a you tuber you are at the mercy of people who don't even know you but feel like they can judge you by the 15 minutes out of I don't know how many minutes in a week you share with us here but it comes with the job honey and eventually you will learn to toughen up and grow some bones to survive in this industry. In the meantime you are doing just fine, I would say just don't read the comments completely but then that's doing yourself an injustice because you will also miss out on the positive feedback well of which if you really think about it of every negative comment there are probably a 100 positive ones so just continue to do what you are doing by picking your battles wisely and focus on what really matters, focus on the good and use the negative to fuel you. Continue to invest more in yoursel and continue to evolve and grow. Your success Is the best revenge you can ever serve to your haters if there any because again not all negative comments come from haters. Some is just genuine feedback from a good place because people feel obligated to give you the feedback. However misery also love company and hurt people hurt people, mostly when you don't like or love yourself you see only the bad in people and when you see something good you are prone to get jealous so your default is to pick something negative and use it to pull down the other person so we can all be miserable and hate ourselves, that's what we do a lot as women, myself included by the way. I have to watch myself and I have made up my mind I want to be a woman who only builds and encourages other women to make this World a better place and even if I must give constructive critism which by the way is very very necessary for growth I must do so with love and my motivation should be purely love otherwise I always remind myself when I'm tempted " if you don't have anything to say don't say anything"
